Default When it comes to classic TV sitcoms, is MeTV now the worst Digital TV option?

I am now starting to notice that Cozi-TV and Decades have a much better selection of Old TV shows and air them during the week. Unlike Me-tv that only seems to air them on Sunday like the shows Saved by the Bell, Brady Bunch, Honeymooners, Flintstones, Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley, and Dick Van Dyke.

But overall Antenna TV, Cozi, and Decades air classic tv shows not only on sundays but all week long. anyone else has Me-tv ranked last?

BTW: its other digital tv channels I may not have so it could be other that may out rank the ones I listed. But these are the only 4 digital channels I have as of July 2020

What are you talking about? The Flintstones and Happy Days are on weekday evenings between 6pm and 7pm. Laverne and Shirley was on weeknights but the ratings were low so the show was pulled. There are only 39 episodes of The Honeymooners, how can you suggest METV put a show with so few episodes on weekday nights (the entire run wouldn't last 8 weeks!). METV has plenty of classic shows, why don't you familiarize yourself with the line-up and tell us which shows are not classics.

I think what is being said is that Me TV doesn’t offer as many Sitcoms during the week as oppose to Sunday’s.

I think the problem is Me TV airs Sitcoms Weekday Early Mornings (6:30AM-9AM) so it seems like they don’t offer these Sitcoms...
I Love Lucy 1 episode.
The Beverly Hillbillies 1 episode.
My Three Sons 1 episode.
Leave It To Beaver 2 episodes.

In the Weekday evenings
The Flintstones 1 episode.
Happy Days 1 episode.
Gomer Pyle 1 episode.
Green Acres 1 episode.
Carol Burnett 1 episode.

Why Andy & Hogan’s Heroes gets 2 episodes.

While the rest of the Weekday schedule is Court Shows Westerns Dramas Sci-Fi.

Saturday’s Me TV airs Sitcoms only early mornings 5AM-7AM. So again it doesn’t seem like they have these Sitcoms either..
Petticoat Junction 2 episodes
The Beverly Hillbillies 2 episodes

On Saturday’s in the evening
The Three Stooges (6pm-8pm)

While the rest of Saturday’s it’s Westerns & Sci-Fi.

Sunday’s the Sitcoms airs 7AM-6pm & 10:30pm-12AM. Basically all day. The problem is the Sitcoms on Sunday’s though are mainly doubled or tripled up so there is not much room for a lot of different Sitcoms.
Saved By The Bell 6 episodes.
The Flintstones & The Brady Bunch 4 episodes of each.
Happy Days 4 episodes
Laverne & Shirley,Mama’s Family, Dick Van Dyke 2 epis. Each
The Honeymooners 1 episode

I feel Me TV Should air More Sitcoms especially from 11:30pm-3AM but that’s because I work second shift.

Weigel owns both MeTV and Decades.

Decades has sitcoms during the weekday morning through afternoon.
MeTV has dramas and westerns during that time, but has sitcoms in the early AM and PM.
Heroes & Icons (also owned by Weigel) has some more emphasis on westerns and dramas.

I think this is by design, where MeTV is somewhat like the most general and Decades and H&I target some niches for fans of MeTV as well. I think both MeTV and Decades could improve on sitcom lineup etc, but are generally pretty good networks, and hard to cite issue with MeTV and sitcoms solely, while praising Decades, when by design, it appears Weigel wants to include dramas/westerns on MeTV and not make it solely for classic sitcoms.

MeTV has a weak lineup but it's not the worst. Mash isn't funny and The Andy Griffith show is overplayed too. Mama's Family is lousy too and The Brady Bunch, while cute, is very cheesy.

Not the worst, but far from the best

It’s pretty bad because of the same overplayed programming but Antenna is the worst with the super long commercial breaks and credit crunches.

I thought Antenna TV credit crunch was bad until I saw WGNA's credit crunch. they crunch the opening credits and show the teaser at the same in a split screen

That one is worse. TBS did the same with Friends and Fresh Prince so I don’t watch those on there.

LMAO!! I just yesterday bought one of those "FREE HDTV" antenna things so that I could finally get METV, so it doesn't surprise me at all that now that I have built the bridge, people are claiming "it's not worth the trip". I should have anticipated this.

My local Cable operator is stubborn and has not added ME, Cozi, nor Get tv.....so adding all 3 might give me some options. And that is really all I'm looking for. During those times when all the cable channels seem to be showing "soccer mom" programming, being able to have a few more notches to choose from looks like a good bet..

I've not been able to watch Hogans Heroes in over 20 years, and LITB in almost as long, so those look like good choices.....add in a little 3 stooges, Greenacres, and an occasional golden drama, I think I'll get my money's worth

My picks for favorite classic channels are Decades and Me-TV (Cozi only for The Munsters, Antenna for Bewitched, Jeannie, That Girl!, Partridge, Gidget if shown). Sadly I gave up on Get-TV which once had great old Columbia movies and classic variety shows.

I begin and end each weekday with Decades: Donna Reed and Dark Shadows/Vega$.

Miss the superheroes on Me-TV. H&I doesn't seem to be using them either.

Was concerned to read lately that Me is starting to censor/suppress episodes for PC content. Slippery slope for classic TV.
