MeTV episode skipping - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

So, I am tracking MeTV's scheduling of Bonanza as it moves from Season 2 to Season 3.

I noticed that on Thursday, Friday and Saturday of this week, it wraps up with the final episodes of Season 2. On Sunday, it doesn't air the show.

But, next week on Monday, it starts at Season 3, ep. 6, titled Broken Ballad. I wonder if there is a reason that the first 5 episodes of season 3 are missing.

Is episode skipping fairly common with reruns of old shows, especially the long running shows?

Or is it possible in this case, that TV Land has some exclusive episodes, MeTV has some exclusive and INSP has the remaining episodes of Bonanza in exclusivity.

I'm don't know why those specific episodes were skipped, but expect to see a lot more "skipped" episodes in the future. https://www.robertfeder.com/2020/07/...s-another-era/

Wow Richie and the flag. I suppose we will see edits of shows dued to the content with in them. People smoked and drank more on tv in the past. On the other hand they swear more today.
