Oh No I'm about to leave Facebook for a week!

Not only did I get harassed by one *******...but more than one!

Look...I have opinions dammit! I think there should be a Confederacy Museum to show the lamentation of America. Have the Confederate statues and memorabilia of what the South was...I got the idea from The Holocaust Museum in Washington D.C.!

Then another had to pick a fight with me because I HATE football...why the **** do people wanna fight on Facebook?

If you get so easily bent out of shape by things like this, then maybe the internet (or Facebook) is not the thing for you.

I know some people who only use the internet for researching things or news, they don't use it for sharing their views or posting about themselves. Either they don't feel comfortable with it or don't really care to.

Very Sorry To Hear That. 10 years ago, I was off from Facebook for almost a week due to some personal incident.

It’s sweet that you think Facebook will be different in a week.

That was my point. You could leave for one year, and things would still be the same upon return.

He has had genuine problems in his life. No need to be a jerk to him.

I personally share ALMOST NO opinions on FB with strangers. I personally would delete my FB account except it is a good way to stay in touch with friends.

Only at SO do I share opinions because here I’m anonymous and I know the Admins & esp. TJ will not let trolling get out of hand. I may step back a little from the Politics Board though as things can get a little heated there. But considering how VILE things can get online even the Politics board isn’t super horrible here. A testament to TJ and most of the members at SO.

Thanks.

Nobody's saying you can't have opinions, but if the feedback/criticism gets too much, you might need a break.

...and my boycott on Facebook starts...now!

Because some ***** said "I have NO excuse to call the democrat party communist"!

I voted for Obama twice, I respect FDR and JFK, I'm just angry at the party for going TOO left and hiding their identity!

So when it come-out of one mouth that's "freedom of speech"? And when it comes-out of someone else it's a "hate crime"...then **** Facebook...I'll be back on September 8th!

Well Facebook is too bizarre lately, I've been avoiding it because everything is too political. Plus too many creepy people wanting to talk to me, I recently had a nutter send me photos of his kids because he thought me being childfree meant I would date him even though I never date dads. I rarely discuss politics on FB because people I know in person would argue and not worth it.

I wouldn't be so sure. I just had a message here from a poster who informed me he lurks on my FB page and he described it. Apparently when I registered here I used my email that had parts of my name in it not thinking. He was able to find me through this.
