In Wally’s Dinner Date June suggests Wally take Julie to a restaurant. He’s been to her house a lot for dinner and known her a while. So why does he tell Julie “It’s Wally “Cleaver!” when he calls her to ask her out to dinner? That should have been discussed during rehearsal.
Also right after that episode Wally is walking MaryEllen home and in the next episode he’s over at Lori Ann’s house. What happened to Julie?? |

I noticed that too, as it was happening. Wally Cleaver? Glad you gave me the last name, I get calls from a lot of Wallys.
Another annoying thing in a recent episode: in the driving lessons, after Shirley opened her big yap a second time, I would have said, Mr. Barnsdall, would you tell Shirley to shut her big mouth? I can't concentrate. And then in a later episode he dates her! Stick with Julie and Mary Ellen! |

Shirley was so obnoxious. Barnsdall shouldn’t have waited for another rude comment. He should have said “Shirley sit back and shut up!” Such restraint. Actually I would’ve said to Wally ‘pull over Shirley get out.‘ Wally was way too polite. Sometimes I think the writers were from another planet. How about in Tell It To Ella Beaver comes into the dark room after the ballgame and Wally says “Is that you Beaver?”
No it’s Khrushchev!! Boy did I have trouble spelling that. |

"Pull over Wally. Easy on the brakes. Shirley...you...blabbermouth...OUT!" (borrowing a line from The Honeymooners).
