On the same Southern rock album I have that also had Charlie Daniels I also found a group called Pure Prairie League and I want to know if anyone remembers them? They were best known for the ballad Amie and the song Let Me Love You Tonight. I hadn't seen much of Pure Prairie League since Let Me Love You Tonight was a hit in 1982. Is Pure Prairie League still performing or did they break up?

I think they eventually broke up after Vince Gill went solo. |

Vince Gill was part of Pure Prairie League? I find that hard to believe because my mom has two Vince Gill albums and I didn't know that before marrying Amy Grant way before then he was part of that group
Thank you for the great info Zoneboy Bestie |

I liked them from their early years before Vince Gill joined the group. (nothing against Vince Gill of course) I remember buying the 45 of Amie from Newt's Record Shop when it first came out.

Hi, Bestie! PPL was a good group but I liked their album covers more than their songs.

Didn’t it take Vince Gill several more years to hit the big time after leaving PPL?

Amie was a memorable song of theirs:
Amie what you want to do? I think I could stay with you For a while, maybe longer if I do |

Amie was a top 40 hit but my favorite PPL song is Two Lane Highway.
