Movie FOL 'Core of 4' and MRS G characteristic

I came to the following conclusion over the 'Core of 4' after watching FOL again:

LISA as BLAIR was definitely the best in the drama department (despite the fact that you don't see her shed tears): her scenes when she acts hurtful are very powerful, and especially her parental abandonment issues. The way she expresses herself, her voice and facial expression are so emotional they can bring you close to tears!

NANCY as JO on the other hand is better as the angry/rough one: i know she's supposed to be the sensitive one, but her 'crocodile tears' had never had any effect on me, and to be honest her crying is very exaggerated! (She can also be amusing though)

Now MINDY as NATALIE is really the comedienne: every time she cracks a joke i find myself bursting in laugh! (that girl really is hilarious!). She can even turn a drama into a comedy lol!

KIMas TOOTIE is the funny/cheeky one: especially during the season 1 she was the most amusing one of the 7 girls, and later on, she became the naive/romantic one who still believed in SANTA KLAUS ha ha!

CHARLOTTE RAE as MRS G was the wisdom of the show (even though she started as a comedienne on DS): for those girls she was the voice of reason, a role model, and her caring and motherly nature made her lovable with everyone, and everywhere she went. She was truly the heart of the show!

Comments on that one?????

Blair did shed tears in Molly's Holiday, but as I said before, I think those were Lisa's tears and not Blair's tears.

After Cindy, Tootie was my next favorite of Season 1. I did think she became too whinny later and the repeated plots of her being a kid and excluded got a little old after a while.

I agree with you on everything, Valentina!

Mrs. Garrett was the heart of the show, she was funny, motherly, wise and she was loved by everyone, the kind of woman we all wish we could have befriended in our lives.

Natalie is always hilarious, even in the episode her father dies. She is the second girl I like, right after Blair. Everytime there is a joke, she crackes me up, especially during Eastland, when Mindy laughs too

Blair is the best with drama. The episode with Leo, the other one with her boyfriend that sells drugs, the other one about her grandfather are the best. Lisa was really talented

Tootie was better during the later years. As 80s said before me, in the middle seasons she was childish for most of the time, in the first two seasons she was the sassy kid. Kim really improved during the later years, her character too.

About Jo, she was ok after Eastland. Her rude attitude was acceptable at least initially but after one or two seasons, no no , you have to change.

Bravo FOL FAN ITA you're totally a guy after my own heart!!!

Yes, MRS G was the best thing FOL ever had: starting from the pilot 'The girls school' (after DS): i have always cherished this episode so much that she became one of the main ones on any Fanfiction story i ever wrote lol!

Oddly enough: NATALIE is my next favourite after BLAIR too i have decided (i still cannot decide whether JO or TOOTIE as next): this girl is simply hilarious and she's got the best sense of humour!!!!

And BLAIR of course will always be my number one: the mysterious girl with the heart of gold who drives JO nuts most of the time hee hee hee!!!

TOOTIE as the youngest one was my favourite during season 1 (after BLAIR of course) because she was such a troublemaker gossipy kid, who got everyone to love her and she was such a charmer!!!!
I found her annoying on season 3 and 4, but during the later seasons she was the best!!!!

JO was great on season 2 (i didn't like her on season 3 at all, cos she was too aggressive towards BLAIR) and especially in the following seasons when she becomes close towards BLAIR, and stop being so rough she was okay....
