Default Times where the suspect turned out to be a victim

How many times have cases been shown on Unsolved mysteries where they show an suspect in an murder and are looking for them but it’s turned out they would victims too

Two that came to mind are

Mike Riemer

I can’t remember the names but one case where police for an man who believe killed his wife and run off with his son. Now police say they believe him and his son would killed by the same person who killed his wife

Definitely my choice, too, for Mike Riemer. I was sure he was guilty for years until they found his remains.

The second case you are thinking of is this one: https://unsolvedmysteries.fandom.com...ub_Wackerhagen

Janice Owen. The authorities initially thought that she killed her 8-year-old daughter, Alyssa, until Janice herself was found murdered.

John Feiga(sp?) murdered Erica Richardson. Then he himself was murdered. Didn't one of the brothers that murdered Dan Short get murdered in prison?

Tim McClure is still a little up in the air for me.

Dub Wackerhagen, though...

Most of my big ones have already been mentioned.

1. Dub Wackerhagen. I was always about 90% convinced, as were most people, I think, that he was guilty of killing Latricia and going on the run with Chance or perhaps killing him too in a rage. The recent developments have LE believing it was someone with an axe to grind against Trish - an ex, I think? I'm pretty sure they have a suspect in mind but they just don't have enough evidence to charge the person.

2. Charles Holden. I really felt for that guy. As unbelievable as the circumstances are, I never bought that he killed his mother. Poor guy got railroaded by the cops since he was the most convenient suspect. I'm glad they finally caught the actual killer.

3. Dale Kerstetter. I was on the fence until I listened to the "The Trail Went Cold" episode on his case. What Robin Warder says makes complete sense. The money Dale would have gotten for his role in the robbery was not a terribly large amount, certainly not enough for him to have lived on all these years. Further, the statute of limitations on the theft has run out, so if he did indeed run off, he'd be free to come out of hiding without fear of prosecution, but that hasn't happened.

4. The "Sammy Wheeler Trio," so to speak. This was probably the most soap opera-like segment I've ever seen on this show. Sammy's twin brother Danny, his girlfriend Pat Snead, and Pat's ex-husband Bob Bean were all at one time considered suspects, and each spent time in the segment accusing the others. All of them seemingly had good reasons to want to kill Sammy, but in the end, it turned out to be a random act of violence. That one was a wild ride.
