Oh No My sister wants me and my brother to get rid of everything!

...or so it seems!

I love my sister, but she's that one who's like "everything old is out, everything new is in"! "You can't keep it anymore"! Or "I should just set the house on fire so tough ****"!

I kept stuff that I haven't used in years...why am I forced to give it away?

Who's forcing you? You don't have to listen to anyone.

She could just be suggesting? Like maybe just Sisterly concern that you don't accumulate too many things that over the years might lead to clutter ?

Like in my case , both my Hubby and I , we tend to be " collectors " , like for instance I like elephants, cats, (figurines ) ragdolls and other things and have a collection of them ! And everytime I visit somewhere or somebody else travels I buy or they bring me a souvenir, so things do sometimes pile up after a while ! Plus old clothes that haven't been worn in a while !

Every once in a while it is good to do a spring cleaning, have a yard sale or donate things to Goodwill that you haven't used or really wanted in years ! It isn't like just throwing stuff in the trash , donating or selling the stuff gives you peace of mind that someone else is enjoying something you used to like but no longer need!

I have been doing the latter...giving-away things I know I won't need in the long run...and it IS hard to say "goodbye" to something that you had for years!

You might want to look up charities and see which ones might be interested in donating your old stuff. A good charity to try is United Cerebral Palsy and it's a very simple charity to donate to and all you have to do is get some of your items put them in a box and mark it with CP and drop off the box in their truck though you might want to call and ask when the truck will stop in your neighborhood. Another place you can also try is Project Hope and they also take donations and I think they donate to Savers stores too but if it don't work out you could always try Goodwill or any thrift stores in your area

My sister basically donates the stuff we don't need...I just dislike her attitude about it....
