Default So Henry Winkler appeared on MTM during season 3 of Happy Days

I figured he was too BIG TIME to appear on other shows at that time unless it was L&S

I just saw that episode. It was called "The Dinner Party" and aired in November 1973, but "Happy Days" started in January 1974. So he actually appeared on MTM before he was big time.
Also, Happy Days was on ABC while MTM was CBS, and I doubt he'd have been allowed to do MTM while working on Happy Days since they were rival networks.

I made a error, it was a flashback episode that aired in 1977

Henry Winkler and Valerie Harper appeared together lol

Yeah Rhoda brought him as her date even after Mary told her not to bring a date because she had no room for him and he had to sit at the window away from everyone else.

So even MTM did a flashback episode? I guess all sitcoms did that back then. I personally can't stand them lol. I like to see all new episodes and find flashback ones boring.

At least it's all the way at the end of the series....was this right before the show ended? I'm only on season 4 so have a long ways to go till I get to that one.

Last edited by cfr1970; 06-27-2020 at 12:32 AM. Reason: I called Rhoda Valerie lol.

OK !! I'm mixing up two episodes ! The ep. where Mary gets audited and a tax man comes to her house wasn't Henry Winkler , that was a different actor !!

I do remember now, the one with Henry Winkler at the dinner party having to sit all by himself at a little table by the window !!

Henry was in MTM before he became famous as the Fonz. I believe in the ep he played a co-worker of Rhoda’s who just got let go.

He also appeared on The Bob Newhart Show less than two weeks after the premiere of Happy Days.
