Default Beaver’s Laundry

I’ve seen this so many times and just noticed as they’re walking to the laundromat you can see the Cleaver house in the background like they just left. Then Richard says he lost his money says he must have lost it when he blew his nose over on Grant Avenue but they just left the house unless Beaver went over to Richard’s house and the laundromat was by way of Beaver’s house.

Anyone know what I’m talking about?

I'm laughing, because I noticed that too. Then next thing you know they're standing at what looks like the entrance to an alley.

Richard asks when the laundry will be done and Beaver says when the bell rings. He asks how do you tell it from the telephone. Beaver says if you can’t tell the difference between the bell and the phone ‘you shouldn’t be walking around.’

Then Beaver puts a whole box of Star Soap and all the starch in the machine. He shouldn’t be walking around.

LOL. How true!

Then Wally makes a "galley slave" out of Eddie.

Lucky he didn't dump some bleach in there, too.

"How does the starch know to just do the collars?"

"It's the same way weed killer knows to just klll the weeds."

Two stupid boys!! Of course if June were home she’d sigh and say how did you lose the money but would do his wash. It would be boring.

By the way June‘s hair looked the same before the beauty parlor and after the beauty parlor she just combed it back a little bit. Ward’s hair never changed even though he went to the barber.

I don't think the women on TV who are going to the beauty parlor really NEEDED the BP.

In Dennis the Menace Eloise is always either on the way to the BP or the dentist.

In the scene where the Cleaver house is in the background ... it looks like a heavy air pollution / smog day in Hollywood ...

In many scenes in Dragnet & Adam 12 the background fades to zero visibility due to smog !

Just watched that episode last night. Funny how after all these years I never noticed the Cleaver house ( 211 Pine st ) in the background of the downtown area where they were supposed to be, near the laundromat. So then, the area was clearly a set, and not some on location neighborhood they chose to shoot in.

Just noticed the haze as well. So hazy you'd swear it was almost a projected background like you see on some cheap production.

I think you’re right. It kinda ruins the dialogue when Richard says he thinks he lost the money on Grant Avenue. Beaver: “What do you mean Richard we just left the house how could you lose the money on Grant Avenue this is Pine Street or maybe it’s Pine Avenue.”

Grant Avenue, Grant Avenue, Grant Avenue, Grant Avenue....

It sure is a prolific thoroughfare on that show. I wonder if it's kind of like where Mayfield is like 'Pleasantville' https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pleasantville_(film) where Grant Ave runs in a continuous loop.

"The end of Main street...is just the beginning again".

They just moved into that big house on Grant Avenue.

I saw Beaver and Richard over on Grant Avenue running after some girls. (?)

Haven’t seen the paper boy and I walked over from Grant Avenue.

I put the can of money in my pocket over on Grant Avenue.

I saw Wally over on Grant Avenue hitting guys in the arm.

We walked home all the way from Grant Avenue and Eddie was wearing those new Italian shoes.

These are not all correct I just threw in Grant Avenue.

The Haskells live on Grant Avenue. I think they showed Eddie's address once.

Offhand Mayfield has a Vanderbush Avenue and a Piedmont Street. And of course Pine Avenue/Street and Mapleton Dr.

And yet, had you not have said that, that list is not only completely believable, but too short as well.
