Default Wally’s Chauffeur

Ward said he didn’t want Wally driving in Lump’s car with so many people. At the end 3 couples piled into Evelyn’s car so that was 8 bodies, 3 in front and 5 in back. Wonder what Ward would say? Evelyn was also a beginner driver.

Also Lumpy was all alone with the cop as Evelyn and the gang drove off for hamburgers. No sign of Lumpy’s date, Susan Bean. Did she also pile into the car or was she somewhere on the sidewalk? She wasn’t in Lumpy’s car. Poor Susan.

Susan saw the joke he was pulling and got a ride home in another car. Sounds good...

Ward might have had a fit, but it would a smaller one, since she was driving her father's, "big, bad automobile." A little safer than Lumpy's heap.

I cringe every time Evelyn talks about the "kids." Teens didn't and don't call their peers "kids."

Also when she says ‘yummy’ bag and ‘darling’ apartment.

Wonder why the Wally Goes Steady ep. was before the Chauffeur one. You would think Ward and June would be worried seeing Evelyn in the picture again after trying to get married. I remember seeing old yearbooks where the girl’s ambition was marriage. My friend back in the early 60’s had her china and silverware pattern already picked out. I asked why? “For when I get married, my mother did it.”

That's a great point. "Ward! He's seeing Evelyn again? You're going to have to talk to Wally."

Or more like "Ward, is he seeing Evelyn again, I'll have to snoop around some more ... !"

Wally’s Chauffeur reminds me of Wally’s Glamour Girl. Wally not really wanting to go after he sees his female chauffeur and in the other episode when Ward says you will put on your blue suit and I will drive you both to the dance and you will have a wonderful time. He wound up having a good time like Ward said. Sort of like Blind Date Committee. In Wally’s Dream Girl he didn’t like playing 3 handed volleyball.

I'm not sure W&J should have forced him into that Evelyn driving situation.

Ward could have stepped up and told Wally he'd offer to drive the big, bad Boothbymobile to the dance, and be their chauffeur (people were looser with autos back then). Evelyn would check with faux Bill and see if he'd OK Ward driving the yummy car. Wally wouldn't have been happy, but it would have been a little better for him.
