Default "Pretty Babies" episode

In this episode, Tootie models for fashion photographer Jonathan Dutton. They keep saying that Tootie is only twelve, but she looks more like she's at least 14. I think it's ridiculous that they tried to pass her off as a twelve year old.... especially when she's only three years younger than Blair and Jo.

It really is, especially when she was identified by Mr. Crocker as being 12 years old in the backdoor "Diff'rent Strokes" pilot "The Girls' School".

She's 13 in season 3's premiere "Growing Pains", so Tootie's birthday is sometime between the airing of these episodes: March 11th and October 28th.

October 28th?? Holy cow, I never realized season 3 started so late.

So if she was really 12 in the pilot, then she's really 15 in this "Pretty Babies" episode.

Oh no, I meant Tootie the character, not Kim the actress.

Kim was 9 when they filmed TGS and turned 10 shortly thereafter, so Kim was 10 in season 1, and 11 in season 2, turning 12 near the end of season 2.

But Tootie the character was 12 in TGS so allegedly 12 through season 1 turning 13 at the end of season 1. But of course that doesn't match up with "Pretty Babies".

It's weird because in the first season of FOL, Blair looks SO much older than Tootie, but as time went on, they didn't look far off in years at all. By the later seasons, they looked very close in age. Natalie too. In season one, Blair also looked a lot older than Nat, but not so much in later seasons.

^ That's probably it!

Really, it's like Tootie & Natalie aged appropriately while time stood still for Blair.

Kim was actually 11 when Pretty Babies was filmed. Kim was 6 years younger than Lisa and 3 years younger than Nancy M.

Lisa was 16, almost 17 at the end of season 1. Mindy was 13. So while Lisa was close to being an adult, Mindy was still growing.

You can't go by size or looks as kids either. Molly was only 11/12 years old in Season 1, yet she was taller at the end of season 1 than Mrs. G. and all the girls, except for Nancy O.

She could have easily passed for 14 or 15.

Tootie may have looked older in that episode (perhaps because of makeup), but she looked so small when standing to Nancy O. in Gossip when Nancy O. threatened to stuff the globe down Tootie's throat.

Maybe putting her back on rollerskates would have helped.

I don't think being 16 qualify as adult: you're still a teenager at 19, and i believe in USA you can only start drinking at 21, right?????
