Actually, "Talent Show" was 18, Crypt Course was 19. Sorry for the mistakes again!
![]() “The Competition” Episode 20 of Gopher’s Gateway Written by Sean Sporman Prologue Hueytown Academy’s repairs were slowly coming along. After the damage from the coordinated attack of Peyton and Amanda, the school had been heavily damaged. Amidst the temporary closing of the school and the beginning of the repairs, Sean Sporman had agreed to have a second round of the Hueytown Olympics. In Gym III of Hueytown Academy, Enterprise-E Lieutenant Commander Geordi La Forge currently repaired the environmental systems, which had been damaged. The gyms were going to be needed soon for the Hueytown Olympics II: Second Heat, as it was brilliantly nicknamed by Heather. Nearby, Sean Sporman and a now-healed Lucy Camden were observing the work as well as assisting. “I think I’ve got it!” Geordi La Forge proclaimed, as he pressed a button. Instantly, rain began to fall from the ceiling. “Maybe not.” Geordi La Forge said, setting back to work. Sean and Lucy activated their personal shields to keep from getting soaked. Chapter One Heather Allgood, girlfriend of Sean Sporman, worked with Commander Data in the temporary office that had been constructed as a temporary command center whilst the destroyed OPS was being rebuilt by repair teams. “Computer core is now online!” Data proclaimed, his emotion chip not active. Heather currently sat in the Captain’s Chair that had been placed in the temporary command center. Jordan Reeves, also in the room, worked at the Master Situation Monitor mounted on the right wall. “It’s working!” Jordan Reeves stated as the Monitor in front of him flashed to life, showing the status of the school. It seemed a shadow of its former self. The OPS building was being rebuilt from the eighth floor up. The Grade Buildings, while structurally intact, had no remaining operational systems after the attack. Only the Lunchroom, Gym, Recreation Rooms and Playgrounds had avoided damage. “I’ll add this to the report.” Heather said, “Now, I wonder how Lucy, Meagan and Riker are doing…” The Tenth Grade Building’s floor was littered with conduit pieces, shattered isolinear circuitry as well as broken chairs, exploded desks, dropped PADDs and various other belongings. But, that was the last priority. As of now, none of the systems of any of the Grade Buildings were online. Commander Will Riker, first officer of the USS Enterprise-E, headed a repair team of twenty engineers to repair the building. “Anything yet, Commander?” Lucy Camden inquired, hearing electronic buzzing as well as mechanical clanking from the Jeffries Tube that the Starfleet Commander currently worked in. “I think I’ve just about got the life support systems!” Riker responded. Mechanical clank. “Now!” One of the central hall’s status monitors, but only one, flashed to life, displaying the environmental systems controls and systems status. “You did it!” Meagan responded to the operational system, as Commander Riker emerged from the Jeffries tube, followed by three Starfleet Engineers, ranking Lieutenant. “Don’t thank me,” responded Riker, “Thank Geordi’s efficient staff.” “Now, let me take a break.” Riker sighed, sipping at a cold can of Pepsi that Meagan handed him. “Ah, soda, I haven’t had one of these since I lived in Alaska, where I was born.” Meagan laughed as Riker tapped his combadge. “Enterprise, beam me up. Break time.” “Aye, commander.” Riker dematerialized, carbonated beverage still in hand. That was when the single operational display changed to show Red Alert and its four operational speakers warned for it. “What is it?” Heather inquired, still in the Captain’s Chair, as Sean Sporman entered the temporary command center. Jordan Reeves was quick to respond. “Titan-class assault shuttle on attack vector.” June Gabert then rushed into OPS. Data had also beamed back up to the Enterprise-E only moments earlier. “Wow,” June commented, standing behind the Science II station, “We had only started to replicate the shuttles when I decided to defect.” Jordan Reeves looked at the monitor. “And you see that 12 painted on the side of the shuttle? That implies that Peyton has led an operation to replicate at least 12 shuttles!” Heather smiled. “Or, she could be tricking us by making us think she has twelve. It could be her only one.” “A very logical point, Heather.” Sean responded. They smiled at each other. Jordan grumbled fruitlessly. “They are—“ The office shook, stopping June’s observation. “Shield status?” Sean inquired. “90%.” Responded Heather instantly. “We’re a sitting duck in here.” Sean said, “Heather, pilot the Hawking. I’ll support you in Turret I. The rest of you, get to the Emergency Command Center.” Chapter Two In the cockpit of the Titan-class Assault Shuttle Pay Day, as it was named by evil mastermind Peyton Freeman, who was once an underling of the now-good June Gabert, had its own Federation-model targeting computer locked on the Temporary Command Center. “What are you waiting for?” Amanda Epperson insisted. “Fire!” “There is no one in there!” Peyton responded. “What about the Cool Bug?” The Cool Bug was the first shuttle they had replicated, a classic Type-seven, like Sean Sporman’s Hawking. It had originally been named the June Bug, but then June defected. “Just what I was thinking.” Peyton smiled deviously. But, secretly, Peyton felt a touch of sympathy toward them. Turret I was based a joint prototype design mainly designed by Sean Sporman, but also with some assistance from the brilliant, as she was beautiful Heather Allgood. Now inside the small, two-deck craft, which had yet to have an official name, Sean sat in the lone chair, ready to fire back, if it came to it. Sean locked on to the enemy shuttle Pay Day with a twisting stomach. He had no desire to engage in nearly daily battles with these people. He wished for a peaceful solution, a way to stop the needless destruction. But, when it came to protecting his girlfriends as well as his other friends, Sean knew what was important. Before the Pay Day even made a hostile move, the small vessel was rocked violently by a photon torpedo blast. The craft tilted wildly starboard, as EPS conduits exploded over Sean’s head. The computers were crippled, so there was no use in even attempting to fight back. Sean struggled from the floor only to see that the craft was rushing to the ground. He had to get to the escape pod because the transporter had been damaged heavily. “Computer!” Sean gasped at the airlock. “Emergency code S-1-3. Open escape pod!” The airlock whisked open and Sean squeezed into the pod. It had overhead computer controls and displays, a replicator plus three-week triple-redundant Life Support systems. Sean knew that he wouldn’t be stuck in the pod that long though. “Computer, eject pod, raise shields and activate external view.” Sean felt the pod unlatch from the crippled turret and begin its regulated fall to the ground. “Warning, proximity alert.” The sensors on the pod were not as refined as those in a full vehicle. “Put it on screen.” Sean waited for the cameras to switch and sighed in relief when he saw the Hawking on the screen. Then, Heather appeared on the screen. “Heather here. Sean, are you OK?” Sean smiled as he saw his beautiful girlfriend on the small screen. “Just fine. Thanks for the rescue.” “Anytime.” Heather responded, smiling. “Drop the pod and beam me aboard. I have a feeling this battle isn’t over yet.” Erin Wesson smiled in the cockpit of the Type-7 shuttlecraft Cool Bug. She, after being rescued from Hueytown Juvenile, had just been part of a well-executed coordinated attack on Sean’s Turret I and destroyed it when it crashed into the ground and exploded. Just as she was about to go to the replicator and replicate herself a celebration meal, the shuttle was shook by a phaser blast. “Incoming transmission from the Shuttle Hawking.” Obviously angry from the interruption, she pressed the button after the computer’s statement. Suddenly, she saw what she considered a sickingly sweet “couple”: Sean Sporman and Heather Allgood. Of course, both Sean Sporman and Heather Allgood themselves were happy. Before either Sean or Heather could say something, Erin interjected. “I know, Mr. Fooly, so just shut up please. I’m not giving up!” Sean, though knowing of the typical anger of his enemies, was still taken aback. “Listen, certainly we can come to some kind of understanding, Ms. Wesson.” “Here’s your understanding!” Erin violently pressed one of the buttons on her forward console. A photon torpedo screamed out of the Cool Bug. And before the Hawking could evade, it smashed into its starboard nacelle. Chapter Three The cockpit of the Hawking was quickly filling with smoke, the LCARS computers barely functioned and only the tertiary power cells were keeping the vessel aloft. “Hydrazine leakage! We have to go!” Heather exclaimed. Sean started to feel that defeat was near for Project: Hueytown 2000. Suddenly, he heard a whoosh that rattled the walls of the crippled shuttle Heather and he were in. He looked up and saw the saucer section of the Enterprise-D, now modified for atmospheric flight. Sean and Heather smiled as they dematerialized. Sean and Heather noticed that Commander Data was in the captain’s chair, alongside Ms. Toomey and Andy Blackerby. “I thought you were going to test them first.” Sean commented. “No time like the present.” Ms. Toomey replied, smiling. On the bridge of Captain Picard’s Enterprise, the E, Captain Picard was baffled. “What is it, Captain?” Riker asked. “Number one, it appears we have a rouge saucer.” He was mystified by the disappearance of the saucer of the Enterprise-D, since he had been in his Ready Room, drinking Earl Grey tea and reading just minutes ago. “They did say something about a test drive.” Riker responded. Recently beamed aboard, Geordi La Forge smiled. The Enterprise-D’s saucer section fired phasers at 47% strength at both the Cool Bug and the Pay Day. They both cloaked quickly, disappearing from scanners. Heather was the first to sigh in relief. “We did it!” Sean smiled. “Yes, maybe now we can start Hueytown Olympics II: Second Heat!” Chapter Four Gym I of Hueytown Academy was vastly different from the previous gym of Hueytown High School. No more inflatable bleachers were needed, no more tight spaces or even fixed goals. Right now it looked like an auditorium, but that was a separate building. The scoreboard blew the previous Light Emitting Diode-based scoreboards away. This one was completely digital and could be controlled with a special tricorder to score for over 100 events. The actual goals and nets were built into the floor, walls and ceiling and could be deployed using a special set of controls. Several people had arrived early. Some of these people were close secondaries or tertiaries of the alliance such as Cathy Frederick, Brooke Thompson, Rachel Waters, Amy Ross and Erica Seymore among others. Others shocked Sean. John Thompson, a former member of Brandon Ogla’s infamous prankster group, had reformed and was now an ally. And, some people that Sean had not even known before, such as Lauren Cotton and Latrice Dudley. The rest of the people were to come in about fifteen minutes. “Now, is there anything else we need to do?” Sean Sporman asked to his friends. “Let’s see…” Heather Allgood thought aloud, smiling as she talked, “We’ve got the control sequence locked, bleachers set, event list completed and the teams all divided, with, of course, all emergency backups.” Sean smiled at Heather’s exceptional memory. “That’s everything.” Sean responded, “Now we just wait.” Thirty minutes later, the Main Gym was occupied by over five thousand people, but was not even completely full. The people watching sat in comfortable, padded, purple chairs each with a built-in screen and speaker, so one could watch the action and hear Sean and Heather’s announcements as well as the play-by-play commentators. Sean Sporman along with Heather Allgood, Lucy Camden, Meagan Hall, Andy Blackerby, Kay Lindsay, and June Gabert all stood on the gym floor, where nothing was yet deployed. Due to the massive media exposure, the real commentators from the best Nintendo 64 and Playstation Sports games as well as ESPN were to give live coverage in a huge multi-station blitz of programming. Not to mention the local coverage. Whistles blew, hushing the crowd. Only about 1500 people in the crowed were actually involved with the 2 schools. Britney Spears and Christina Aguliera as well as the mystery-solvers that had visited the school a few days ago were in the crowd. Also in the crowd were: the commentators, the majority of the crew from the Enterprise-E; Latrice Dudley, the somewhat radical second student principal of Oak Grove High School, which did not use Starfleet technology; several Jefferson County mayors as well as many others. As the crowd grew quiet, Sean Sporman, official leader (and still a prime participator) of the Hueytown Olympics II prepared to speak. He felt much better about the second Olympics. Heather Allgood helped perfect many of the flaws in the first one along with himself, Lucy, Meagan and Jordan. First off, the teams were totally reorganized and renamed, and there were many more of them, making it closer to the real Olympics. The “Random Selection Computer” had been reprogrammed for better selection. The places where the events were being and to be held were much better and the safety factor of at least ten. “Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the Hueytown Olympics II: Second Heat.” Cheers filled the huge gym. After a few seconds they died down. “This Olympics promised to be even better than the last…but I’m sure you don’t want to know all of the technical details. So, for the team introduction, I’ll turn it over to the very pretty and smart, Heather Allgood.” “Thank you, Sean…” Chapter Five In the shuttle Pay Day, Peyton Freeman sighed in distress. “I’m sick of this. I think its time we finally joined Sean’s side.” “Well, I sure am not!” Erin Wesson screamed over the viewscreen, which turned off. “I think it would be a good thing. He’s cool and even a little cute.” Amanda Epperson commented. “But, remember,” Peyton stated, “He’s got two girl friends.” “That is true. But, at least we’ll be able to save the day and stuff like that. We’ll be appreciated again.” Peyton smiled. Note: ***The commentary would normally come during the action, but for the purposes of this story, it will come after something happens J The teams were split into three for each grade, the teacher’s subjects, the primary staff and several miscellaneous teams. The first event was going to be Soccer, of course. Sean had handed it over to the BBC introductory commentator, Desmond Lynam. “Welcome to this friendly match, round one, of the game between the Golden Gophers and the Freshmen 2. So, I’ll hand it over to your two commentators for this match, John Motson, and he is accompanied by Mark Lawrenson.” “Thank you, Des. It’s a great day for football and we’re glad that so many people could be here. It will be a little different for me, commentating on this kind of match, but we can do it. So, what do you expect from this match, Mark Lawrenson?” “Well, with these new teams, it’s really anyone’s game. And, let us not forget that this will be a golden goal match to three goals.” “Well, we’re set just a minute for kickoff, just in time for team analysis. On the Golden Gopher’s, we have Sean Sporman, Heather Allgood and June Gabert as the strikers with Lucy Camden and Meagan Hall in the backfield as defenders with Jordan Reeves as the keeper. Mark, the Freshmen 2?” “Yes, John. In the front we have Erica Seymore, Brooke Thompson and Matt White with Courtney Gage, Tiffany Davidson and Michael Redman, as keeper, in said back. It looks like kickoff now, John.” “Yes, indeed, at Kickoff it’s Heather against Erica.” Heather kicked the ball forward to Sean instantly, who smiled. “It’s a pass to Sporman.” Sean smiled as he took the ball downfield with his right foot. “Good control on the ball.” Suddenly, Sean saw Courtney Gage sliding in for a tackle. But, in a master move, Sean spun three-hundred-and-sixty degrees and passed it forward to Heather, who was in the “box”, an outlined section near the goal. “Brilliant move after a daft tackle! Sporman passes it forward to Heather!” Heather instantly kicked it hard into the net, sending the ball sailing past Michael and causing the net to bow out in the back. “GOAL! Thundered into the back of the net past the despairing goalkeeper!” “Yes, John, a great goal. But, they may need to repair the net after the game.” Chapter Six The Emergency Medical Hologram, along with Commander Data and new math teacher Mr. Cound, sat in command of Hueytown Academy, in the temporary command center. “Here I am,” Mr. Cound said, “In a computer room with an android and a hologram.” “And?” The Emergency Medical Hologram sighed, obviously annoyed. “Fascinating.” Observed Data, who was closely watching. Then the red alert alarm sounded. “What now!?” The hologram might have pulled his hair out, had he had any to pull out. “It seems that the enemy is making a second run!” Data replied, heading to the Tactical console after deactivating his emotion chip. “Emotion chip offline.” “Shields up! Red alert! Ready phasers! I may be a doctor, but I have been a hero before. I remember the time where a holographic team of Pokemon snatchers—“ “They are hailing us.” Data’s emotion chip may have been offline, but he was surprised for sure. The Emergency Medical Hologram turned around to the viewscreen, putting on his ECH face. “On screen.” The hologram ordered. “This is the Emergency Medical Hologram of Hueytown Academy. Please state your intentions, Ms. Freeman.” “Hello, Doc.” Peyton greeted politely. She now wore a Starfleet uniform as well as Amanda. “We’ve finally decided to join Project: Hueytown 2000.” The doctor smiled. “In other words, you saw which way the wind was blowing and changed sides.” Amanda smiled. “You bet.” “Understood.” Data said, “Take the shuttle to Dome II and dock her in the Enterprise-E’s main shuttlebay. There, you will be escorted by two of our ensigns.” “Are we too late for the soccer match?” Amanda asked. “Nope.” The hologram replied. Peyton and Amanda smiled as the screen flickered to show the Federation insignia once more. Mr. Cound was obviously distressed. “I think something fishy is going on here.” “Oh, shut up.” The doctor smiled. Heather Allgood had scored one more goal with a brilliant one-two with June Gabert, who had the main assist. But, Meagan Hall had gotten a yellow card through a not-so-perfect tackle against Matt White. Now, the other team had a goal kick with the Golden Gophers only one goal away from the all-so-sweet victory. For the second half, Louis Tapia had taken over the commentary, giving John Motson and Mark Lawrenson a break. Matt White kicked the ball forward to Brooke Thompson who passed it quickly over to Erica Seymore. “Midfielder to striker, good receiving by the striker.” Erica quickly bulleted the ball toward the goal. “She’s hit the shot from there!” But, Jordan Reeves flew in a great jump and stopped the ball. “Great save by the keeper! Nice stop!” Jordan threw the ball to Meagan, who then kicked it down to Lucy. “Pass! And, now the commentary is once again with Motson and Lawrenson!” “Thank you, Lou. It’s Golden Gophers: 2; Freshmen 2: 0.” Lucy crossed the half-line. “She’s in the other zone. And, we don’t mean Konami!” Mark Lawrenson laughed at the video gaming joke. Lucy then passed it to Heather, who did a brilliant 360-degree twist, confusing the defender. “Incredible ball control. Puts some of the less proficient Olympians to shame!” Heather then faked a shot to the right. “Fakes.” Instantly after that, she kicked the ball to the left. As soon as it went into the net, the Golden Gophers began to celebrate. “It’s in the goal and the victory has been sealed for the Golden Gophers! So, Mark Lawrenson, what did you think of this excellent game?” “Well, John, it’s quite obvious that the win would go to the Golden Gophers just after watching this game on my monitor after just a couple of minutes. The Gophers’ defense was perfect and their striking was masterful. How about the player of the game, John?” “100% to Heather Allgood. Her amazing skills on the field just have to be seen to be believed. Second player, Mark?” “Thank you, John. While Sean Sporman had some great passing skills, Jordan Reeves, the keeper played great, with his many great saves.” “Well, we would like to thank everyone for tuning in, but now back to Hueytown Gym with Bob Costas of NBC and James Brown of EA Sports.” Chapter Seven “Really?” Sean Sporman’s reaction was a mix of shock, confusion and happiness. Looking around the Temporary Command Center of Hueytown Academy, Sean saw Peyton Freeman and Amanda Epperson, both 15-year olds once totally against the school, standing happily by the Master Situation Monitor, wearing Starfleet uniforms and talking with Jordan Reeves and Mr. Cound. “Well, is it true what we heard about this one?” Peyton asked to Amanda. “What’s that?” Mr. Cound inquired. “That you always catch note-passers?” Amanda finished. “Yes, I do.” Mr. Cound smiled. “See what I mean,” The Emergency Medical Hologram said, “They did turn good.” “Well, that is a good thing!” Jordan Reeves observed. “Indeed.” Sean Sporman agreed. Just then, June Gabert entered the room and smiled at her two friends. “So!” June exclaimed, “Ya’ll finally decided to turn good.” Sean winced at the grammar. The Emergency Medical Hologram noted this. “What is bad about it, besides the obvious?” “My mom was an English teacher at UAB. So, you can see why that annoys me personally.” Sean smiled back, almost laughing. “Hey, Sean!” Heather said. Sean smiled broader as the always-beautiful Heather Allgood entered the room. Heather smiled back. All the butterflies that might have been in his stomach from such an event over a month ago were gone, especially now that they were “going out”. Life ruled, obviously. Suddenly, the alarm went off and normal LCARS displays now showed the Red Alert. “What is it?” The Emergency Medical Hologram asked quickly. “Sensors have picked up a detonation of trinitrotoluene in the Playground Crawlway.” Heather replied quickly. “Huh?” Amanda Epperson inquired. “Trinitrotoluene.” Heather replied, “Short for TNT; Dynamite.” “Oh.” Amanda mouthed. “At least its not the Fast Food Crawlway.” Sean replied with a smile. “And just what would that be?” inquired Peyton. “Why, I-8, of course.” Giggles filled the Command Center. “Now, let’s go. We need to leave the Command Center fully staffed. So, we’ll leave the EMH here with Mr. Cound and June and Amanda. Heather, Jordan, Peyton, come with me!” “Oh, boy!” Peyton exclaimed. “My first stint as a goodie!” Jordan rolled his eyes. “Why Peyton?” Jordan asked. “Random selection,” Sean smiled, “Let’s go!” “Why not the transporters?” Heather asked. “Offline for repairs.” Sean replied as they whooshed out the door. Chapter Eight Andy Blackerby and Kay Lindsay, superintendents of the Jefferson County School system, walked in the Playground of Hueytown Academy during the break of the Hueytown Olympics II. “What do you think so far, Andy?” Mrs. Lindsay asked. “Well, it’s just plain great. And, with the annoying known as Timothy Johnson gone for quite a while, there really is nothing to worry about.” Andy Blackerby replied with a smile. Suddenly, they felt a violent shaking under their feet and Andy Blackerby was thrown to the ground. Suddenly, they saw a fire erupt from the ground just feet in front of them. “Someone is blowing up stuff underground! Let’s go!” Mrs. Lindsay helped Blackerby onto his feet when suddenly they heard a scream. Turning to look, they saw a junior girl trapped behind the wall of fire in one of the computer stations. “I’ll get her! I might as well use this personal shield I have!” Blackerby told Lindsay, “Stay here. I have a feeling Sean and Heather will be here soon!” Andy Blackerby tapped his personal shield on and ran through the fire. He ignored the computer’s constant warnings of rapidly decreasing shield strength. The girl, whom Blackerby recognized as Lauren Cotton, was huddled under the desk, trying to protect herself from the fire. “It’s OK.” Blackerby stated. “Computer, extend personal shield around nearby human.” “Personal shield extended. Efficiency at 47% and falling.” “Run, but stick close to me.” Blackerby and Lauren began to run through the expanding fire. “Shields at 6%!” The computer warned and Blackerby feared the worst. Suddenly, the fire around him was washed away by water and fire retardant. Looking up, He smiled as he saw Sean Sporman, Heather Allgood, Jordan Reeves and Peyton Freeman rush in, spraying the place. Something clicked in his mind. Peyton?! Was she jumping ship and turning from evil now too? He would have to ask. Later. The fire was now completely stopped. So, he deactivated his personal shield. But, Sean Sporman did not let go of his water sprayer, dousing the Blackerby as well as the one he rescued. “Sorry!” Sean exclaimed. But, both Andy Blackerby and Lauren Cotton smiled. “Now, we have to find the evil mind behind this.” Sean proclaimed, “Mr. Blackerby, take Lauren and Mrs. Lindsay to safety. We’ve got an intruder to stop.” “Hey, Sean!” Lauren exclaimed. “Yes?” Sean replied. “Thanks a lot.” Lauren stated. “All in a good day’s work.” Sean smiled, and then tapped his combadge. “Four to transport.” Peyton’s eyes widened. “But, you said…” They began to dematerialize. “…You said that the transporters were offline!” Peyton resumed after transport. “Starfleet Suggestions 51-A. In times of battle, never speak the whole truth. You never know who might be listening.” Peyton smiled. “Nice!” Sean looked around the Playground “crawlway”. It wasn’t truly a crawlway, but you did have to crawl to enter it. The idea had come from Sean, but Heather had suggested that it be wide and open inside, so that if there were any claustrophobics or people who didn’t like to crawl a lot. The room was normally greatly illuminated, but due to the heavy damage incurred, it was now only borderline-illuminated. That was why all of them had put on Starfleet Portable Illumination Units on their wrists before. The actual “crawlway” had numerous recreational supplies, including computers, video games, balls, action figures and toys for all ages that went perfectly with Sean’s family-friendly policies. In fact, all of the video games in the crawlway were rated E for everyone and the television shows and movies that played in the “crawlway” were from TV Y to TV PG. “Ok. Jordan, you go with Peyton toward the back. Heather and I will head toward the Entrance. “Right.” Jordan said, starting to trot deeper into the “crawlway”. “I hear something.” Heather suddenly said. Sean fell silent and heard the mysterious sound as well. Suddenly, Sean saw something about to hit Heather’s head. Quickly, Sean fired his phaser and mere seconds later two thunks reverberated through the crawlway. Focusing her illumination units, Heather recognized her as Erin Wesson. “That was close.” Heather sighed, “But thanks to you I am safe.” The two hugged. “Principal’s Log, Terrestrial Date, December 11, 1999. I must start off by happily saying that over 90% of Hueytown Academy’s enemies that had been on the loose are now either on the side of good are safely locked in Huey Juvie. Repairs continue on the school and day 2 of Hueytown Olympics II is near. Also, all of my friends, girls and boys, are ok. It’s a good day indeed.” In the Temporary Command Center of Hueytown Academy were most of the top command staff: Sean Sporman, Heather Allgood, June Gabert, Meagan Hall, Peyton Freeman, Amanda Epperson, Jordan Reeves and the Emergency Medical Hologram. “So,” Meagan inquired, “How many more days until OPS is back online?” “About 14.2.” replied Heather. Sean smiled again. “The Holodeck has been retrofitted.” Lucy noted. “I’ll have to try it sometime.” June noted. “Me too.” Heather noted. Sean smiled as he sat in the command chair… On the next exciting episode: The return to the fun place…the Holodeck! But, is June hatching another devious plot to destroy Sean meanwhile? Find out on Gopher’s Gateway…the next episode! |
