The movies set in ancient Greece or Rome that were popular in the late 1950s and early 1960s. They were usually Italian productions filmed in the deserts of southern Spain (spaghetti western country) or North Africa. American muscleman Steve Reeves starred in a number of them.

I remember watching the Italian ones on the local UHF channel back in the 80's.
I have one of those 50 movie sets that includes some of the Hercules ones. I haven't seen all of the Hercules movies from the 60s though. Have seen a few of the Goliath films. Some of the Samson, and a few others, but there's still a lot from that era I haven't watched. |
