If you ever watched a Barry Levinson directed movie such as Diner or the 1990 hit movie Avalon you probably remember Brooklyn Bridge. Debuting in 1992 Brooklyn Bridge was a cute family sitcom/drama cocreated by Barry Levinson and Gary David Goldberg that was inspired by Barry Levinson's childhood growing up in New York City and featured a family who moved to America trying to fit in with all sorts of interesting people in New York City. Even though it had a really unique storyline CBS cancelled Brooklyn Bridge after one season but it is such a great family oriented sitcom that should've lasted longer

Hi, Bestie! I saw that show. Is it my imagination or did they modernize it and turn it into "The Goldbergs"? I think they did. What do you think?

Brooklyn Bridge was a great little show. Marion Ross from Happy Days was on it. It actually ran for two seasons and 35 episodes.
Series creator Gary David Goldberg said the complete series was going to be released on DVD in May 2010, but it never happened. There might be some music rights issues preventing the release. It should be on DVD or streaming. I think many people would like to watch it again or discover it for the first time. I just added a board for it. There were a handful of threads that I moved. |

I love it. I'm enjoying the marathon on Catchy Comedy today. Wish it could be on all the time.
