Is the song The Downeaster Alexa dedicated to Billy Joel's daughter?
I happened to see the music video for Billy Joel's hit song The Downeaster Alexa and I wondered if he dedicated it and wrote it for his daughter Alexa? The video is really cool and it's really neat to see Billy Joel play a fisherman and when I saw the video Billy reminded me of the Gorton's Fisherman from the Gorton's Seafood commercials

Hi Bestie! You are sort of right. Billy Joel wrote the song about his boat that he named Alexa after his daughter.
