The Bank Job and the Accident was 2 episodes that seemed like they were going to be fun episodes to watch and ended up being serious
The bank job started with them going to the bank so Arnold can make a withdrawl to treat tootie while they was at the amusement park and ended up not going because the bank was robbed ![]() The accident started with Mr. Drummond celebrating his birthday and was going to take the family to Disneyworld but he ends up getting in a car accident and they never went ![]() Two episodes that took a dramatic turn lol can you imagine how the people felt who watched it on NBC back in 1980?? |

Yeah "The Bank Job" is such a chore to watch. You can't make bank robbers amusing or laughable. Maybe one inexperienced/naive you can, but there's always a leader one who is just plain criminal. That's so annoying for a sitcom.
"The Accident", yeah, something big happened there, but it was very interesting and you were invested in a character you cared about, unlike TBJ where you're "held hostage" as a sitcom audience member unable to enjoy comedy. And Mr. Drummond had a hilarious moment there in amnesia when he saw he had a white daughter, but two black sons: "What color is my wife?"
