What happened to Cassietta on the show? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I know she was on from 1986-1990 I think. How was she exited? Did she have a reason to leave, or did she just ge written off and forgotten about (like Judy Winslow did on Family Matters).

I was watching "Deacon's Slam Dunk" in which Kareem Adul Jabar proposed to Cassietta's sister Ameila. However, I havent heard Cassietta's name mentioned since her name is not on the opening credits.

Anyone know why she left? What the plot was?

Ayone know what hapens to Amelia in the final season? Will she marry the Basketballplayer......However, he is not mentioned on the cast list, so maybe he was only in that 1 episode.

Back in 1990, "227 and Amen" were canceled by NBC. Rumor had it on the BET network that one of the shows would be returning and Amen came back in late November of 1990. The only twist was that Barbara Montgomery had already signed to do another show on ABC called "Married People" (which lasted less than a season) Her character was just never referred to anymore just like the Scandanavian maid Inga.
