While also appearing in Ace Hardware commercials as their spokeman NFL legend John Madden appeared in a commercial for Ramada Inn that might be circa the 80's. In the commercial we see John Madden read a chapter from Shakespeare's Hamlet in a humorous style while complaining to people about how Ramada Inn never gives him his morning wake-up calls. Now that John Madden has become famous from the Madden series of video games this seems to be the only John Madden commercial that's underrated besides John Madden's famous Ace Hardware commercials but is a funny commercial to see
