30 years ago...we lost Jim Henson
Jim Henson, the founder of The Muppets left us on this day in 1990.
I wish there'd be a film about him...I wonder if Jeff Bridges would be the perfect guy to play Jim Henson? And should the working title be called Being Green or Rainbow Connection? |

The world lost him far too young. He was definitely a genius, and I can only imagine the countless other unforgettable characters, television programs and movies he would have gifted to the world had he lived longer...

If I remember, I happened to be watching the Wonder Years and they said two big celebrity losses, Jim Henson and Sammy Davis Jr. I probably paid more attention to Henson because I was a big Muppet fan, plus his death was surprising and preventable. It's hard to believe 30 years ago.

I can’t believe it’s been 30 years already since his passing...
