Beaver and Larry...REAL KIDS! These kids are just so real. Watching these season 3 episodes, watching them play with Army men, Beaver singing Clementine on the curb, Beaver playing the tennis racquet while singing She'll Be coming 'Round the Mountain. Larry-"Let's just let's not go (to dancing school)." Beaver-"What's this stuff? Smells awful." (Andy's whiskey). So innocent. Such real 10 year olds!

And that is precisely why this show has been so enduring. It’s realistic and relatable to the average person.

A lot of the dialogue was natural. Love the quote in Beaver’s Library Book.

Beaver reads off the library card. “Ward Cleaver, jr. Do they still call you junior?
Ward: “Not for a long time.”

That’s good cuz I wouldn’t want a father with a name like a kid.”
