Why is mother learning to drive when she was driving earlier in the show?

There weren't a lot of inconsistencies in FKB, but this was a big one. There were several references to Margaret driving, earlier.

They might have tried to make it a flashback, but that wouldn't work well with the kids. About the only thing you can say is that it was a pretty funny episode.
