Is Disneyland gonna raise it's ticket prices once the park reopens July 1st? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I have been hearing that once Disneyland reopens on July 1st that the prices for tickets and admission will be raised and I want to know if it will be true? Because from what I've heard each time a tragic event happens Disneyland's ticket prices go up and get more pricey each time. I also heard that Disneyland is also gonna give visitors a consolation prize as an apology to people who had their Disneyland vacations cancelled due to the March 18th closure. Has anyone heard about this?

Disneyland has not announced an opening date. Doubtful it would be this summer.

Though it isn't Disneyland...Cedar Point may have to celebrate its 150th summer next year.

The main reason I think Disneyland closed in the first place was not due to the Coronavirus but so they could do maintenence to their rides but also to renovate the park and give it an update. But I can tell you once Disneyland reopens the prices for tickets will be higher and pricier. Because as I mentioned in my opening post whenever something terrible happens and Disneyland closes the prices for tickets get more pricier. For example when 9/11 hit Disneyland was forced to close and when it reopened after 9/11 the ticket prices were raised. If Disneyland could return to it's old ticket prices from the 80's and 90's more people would take vacations. Another thing people don't realize that when they visit Anaheim or Southern CA is that they think Disneyland is the only game in town for amusement parks when people have Knotts Berry Farm and other family oriented places when the real truth about Disneyland is that people only take their children there so they can ride the rides see a show and meet Disney characters "which is now a huge annoying pain to do" and shop till you drop when you can buy the same merchandise at any Disney Store in any mall. And if you want to see a certain Disneyland show or parade you can watch them on Youtube without having to waste your time finding the best seating in the park. But if Disneyland continues this ticket price raising habit I can guarantee they will lose money and be forced to close again in the future

Disney had to close and no employees were working at the parks at all. They do maintenance regularly on the rides during closing hours so it would make no sense to close the park for 5 months for that. Also, adjusted for inflation, ticket prices from the 80s and 90s compared to today is about $30 more so that wouldn’t really make much of a difference.

Hypothetically, when they open, they will likely have to limit attendance at the Park to enforce social distancing. They may have to raise prices to make up for the lost income. People may be willing to pay more for reduced wait times for the rides.

Whatever they do, they will hire consultants to figure what price point people are willing to pay.

They were supposed to open in July and if so i wouldnt put it past them to push prices sky high!! (They have lost alot)
