ZEP creator is "cautiously optimistic" about a Season 2 renewal

“I had to pitch Season 2 to (NBC execs) two-and-a-half weeks ago, so I have fully mapped out all of Season 2," creator and showrunner Austin Winsberg tells TVLine. "The network was very happy with the creative direction. They’re very happy with the show in general.” Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist creator: How the Season 1 finale will affect a potential Season 2 "My whole goal with the show is to be real and authentic to my own experiences as much as possible and putting it through the lens of this family," Austin Winsberg says of last night's finale. He adds: "I felt a lot of pressure, my own internal pressure and my own high bar and expectations and wanting to do my father and that story justice. I cried certainly a bunch of times while writing it." |
