Move over Winnie-the-Pooh, and make room for Weavie-the-Sue! 🧸
A.A. Milne wrote two Pooh books, "Winnie-the-Pooh" and "The House at Pooh Corner". Disney made the most famous of their animated Pooh theatrical featurettes in the 1960s, stringing them together with new interstitial animated material to make a feature-length theatrical film in 1977. This idea came to me last last night, to "Eastland-ize" the Pooh world with our "Facts" girls. Here are the matches I came up with, based largely on the old animated Disney versions:
Late night reasonings: Pooh 🧸- Since Sue Ann was one of the lead girls in season 1, and "Sue" rhymes with "Pooh". Also, Sue Ann was naive and "a girl of very little brain" early on. ![]() Piglet 🐷 - Piglet and Pooh are best friends, as are Cindy and Sue Ann. Like Piglet, Cindy is younger, more insecure, and sentimental. And Piglet was once "entirely surrounded by water", as was Cindy (Piglet in his house during a flood, Cindy in the basement during a flood). Eeyore 🦛* - The realist, Eeyore is often negative and down and sometimes a drag, and sometimes Jo acts the same ways. (there's no gray donkey emoji, so there's a gray hippo, lol) Kanga 🦘- Nancy is often described in press material as "level-headed", and Disney's Kanga was very level-headed, soft-spoken, and often "Nancied" (interestingly, there was more to Milne's Kanga). Roo 🦘- Like Roo, Tootie is the youngest, very precocious and daring, and gets into "trouuublllllle!"Owl 🦉 - Owl can get puffed up and haughty, and rest on his "grand" laurels, which goes with our Blair. Rabbit 🐰 - Rabbit takes his gardening and orderliness very seriously, as does Natalie her journalism and reputation. They both get very cross when those areas are disturbed! Christopher Robin 👦 - Molly can be an independent "woman" in charge of all her own toys, and she can play Christopher Robin because, by golly, no one's gonna tell her she can't play a boy just because she's a girl!! ![]() And instead of the Hundred Acre Wood, their adventures are in the "10 or 12 Girl Wood."

Nice work, '80s!
I think you did a great job matching up the girls'/animals' personalities! I tried to think of alternate pairings, but ultimately, I think these are pretty solid matches.Quote:

This is the kind of thing that happens when you combine late night hours with a quarantine! ![]() I thought you'd enjoy that in particular. ![]() The only one left is Tigger 🐅. Tigger didn't show up until a few chapters into the second book. Tigger, bouncy, energetic, out of control, troublesome...hmmmm, the girls are all taken...maybe Roy?

![]() Actually, now that you mention it, there's a deeper connection with me here than I'd thought about. While I was at my grandparents' watching daily morning re-runs of FOL on NBC, I was also watching the full-size costume show 'Welcome to Pooh Corner" on The Disney Channel on their satellite dish. ![]() Back in the good ol' early days of The Disney Channel...I loved WtPC and Disney's other full-size costume show, "Dumbo's Circus".

I'm afraid things aren't always rosy in the 10 or 12 Girl Wood!
