Lightbulb Brilliant Idea: Lisa-thon!!!!!!!

Okay, as I'm sure all of you have read by now, Lisa says in her journal that she lost that lawsuit that was filed against her last fall. All going back to some bad business decisions way back when. She is currently $400, 000 in debt and is not currently in the position to pay it. (Read today's journal for more info.)

So I have another one of my BRILLIANT IDEAS:
LISA-THON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's it, we could raise money to HELP Lisa get back on her feet!!!!! So who's in on this???? Anyone? Anyone??

Ah, Tadsie, Old Boy, you got that ol' mental motor runnin' after
rubbin' up against Blair's beautiful brain follicles....

Couldn't Lisa and husband sell their RV, I'm sure that's got to be worth alot of money. Or they could auction it off. I'm sure there are alot or a few people that
would love to buy their RV, especially if it belonged to Lisa Whelchel. Just a thought!

Ummm, not that I am questionning or anything, but where did you get this information? I don't recall ever seeing $400K mentioned. And I have not seen that she has "lost" the suit yet. I remember her talking about meeting her lawyer for the first time in NYC, but I don't remember specific details.

Plus, if they are that much in debt, I highly doubt they are going to buy a brand-new motorhome. It just doesn't make sense to me.

So, fill me in...

I WILL HELP!!!! But I really don't have any money to give either but how are we gonna plan to raise the money and stuff?? We all live in different states. And yea, I think that Lisa was renting the RV. I'm pretty sure, but not completely sure.

That's odd. Last night I read the journal entry for today. It was about the lawsuit. When I read it again this morning, it was about Allegro Bus Rally in Solvang. The pictures were the same though.

I thought the motorhome was a gift for the trip only?

I assmued the RV was hers, I didn't know for sure. Since Lisa was an actress, she should have money. Right now, she's a stay at home mother/wife and writer, so
she should be making money because of the 2 or 3 books that she has written. Plus, she should get a profit for each time someone buys one of her books. If she is in debt, she and husband shouldn't have bought or rented a RV, that money should have gone for the debt. Plus, if she is making special appearances at book stores or what-not, she should be getting paid
for that.

She did not rent or buy the RV, it was a 'gift'. They were given free use of the RV for the year and they promoted the company whenever they could. Without the generous help from the folks at Allegro, they wouldn't have even been able to make this trip. When their trip is over, I'm sure they will be returning it to Allegro.

People laughed when there were entries and it appeared they were so thrifty with their money. Lisa really doesn't have any money from her FOL days, they are dependent on Steve's income. Yes, she does get paid for selling books and making appearances but really I can't see them profiting that much from this trip. When you take out all their expenses (gas, food, etc.), it's not like they generated thousands and thousands in profit.

Well, IMO, I think Lisa has 2 options, she could either a) file bankruptcy or 2) get a loan from there bank. But I don't
there bank would approve the loan. If Lisa can't pay off the debt, how could she possibly pay off the loan, I don't see that happening. That's just my opinion!

To the Lisa fans, don't get mad that I said that.

I never go to her site and read the entries, so I didn't know, but now
I do. Ouch, is that going to affect
her future in the long run?
