Hi,
I don't know if anyone out here has them, but I am looking for the following late 1950's and mid-1960's military sitcoms: Hennesey (1959-1962) starring Jackie Cooper (aired originally 3 seasons on CBS-TV) Mister Roberts (1965-1966) starring Roger Smith (77 Sunset Strip) (aired originally on NBC-TV) I presently have a 29 episode collector set I purchased on Bonanza recently. They are from film prints aired on TV in the 90's but most episodes are missing the end credits. Otherwise except for the Season 3 episode Hennesey Meets Soupy Sales which is poor/ barely watchable the rest of the episodes quality are good. I found episode 2 (Season 1) Hennesey Meets Honeyboy Jones guest starring singer Bobby Darin on Youtube and added it to the previous 29 episodes set. I now have 30 episodes between them of the original 96 episodes. CBS currently owns the rights to the series, creator Don McGuire having passed away in 1999. Btw sadly, according to Jackie Cooper's co-star Abby Dalton (of the nighttime soap Falcon Crest, still living and age 87!) in an interview she said that the original film prints of Hennesey had been accidentally destroyed in a fire. It's seriously doubtful that anything besides the available 30 episodes (although I've contacted two collectors one in the US and the other in the UK and between them, they have 5 additional episodes that aren't already in that 29 episode set) currently even exists. Which explains why there are only 30 episodes between this set and what I found on Youtube. Interesting info on Jackie Cooper; he was a real-life US Navy Reserve Captain. He is buried at Arlington National Cemetery under his birth name of John Cooper, Jr. according to Find A Grave. The bottom of his marker says ("Jackie Cooper") under his actual name, rank, and the branch of service in which he served. I thought it was fitting considering he played a US Navy Doctor on TV in Hennesey. Mister Roberts is based on the original movie of the same title starring Henry Fonda, James Cagney and Jack Lemmon. I haven't found any episodes of it whatsoever so far. The series opening credits have been posted on Youtube but that's it. Hope someone can help. Thanks. Have a great day! Black Sheep One (Jim)
