"The Garretts" (a look at Robert and Edna)

Mrs. Garrett makes several mentions of her ex-husband on DS, though she never refers to him by name.

In episode 1 when Arnold says if his goldfish Abraham looks dead he's really asleep, Mrs. Garrett says "My ex-husband had the same problem."

In episode 3 she jokes that she once tried to poison him! lol

In episode 12, referring to Mr. Drummond's upcoming proposal to a woman, Mrs. Garrett encourages him to grab happiness if he finds it, and then she says "I wish I had done that myself years ago. After my marriage, I kind of turned myself off. Oh, I had some lovely opportunities...lovely...but, I let them pass by. And you can't turn back the clock."

Yet do we ever see Robert Garrett after he majorly ticks off Edna in "The Return of Mr. Garrett"? No. It's like he just... vanishes off the face of the earth. Much like Howard, Kelly, Kevin, Molly, Mr. Bradley, Miss Mahoney, Mr. Crocker, Mr. Parker, Boots, and so many others.

And isn't it interesting how all of these people ticked off Mrs. Garrett before they suddenly vanished? Mr. Crocker refused to give Nancy a scholarship. Molly made Mrs. Garrett chase her around the dorm common room. Kelly trashed Edna's store. Kevin sniffed the girls' underwear. Mr. Bradley never listened to Edna. Boots acted like a snob. Miss Mahoney had a ghastly haircut.

And yet, Edna always had plenty of meat in her shop... I'm thinking Natalie was closer to the truth than she knew!

Mrs. Garrett has studied taxidermy carefully and knows how to dispose of the decapitated dead bodies of all her enemies.

Mrs. Garrett has had so many professions (registered nurse, dietician, maid, peace corps worker, baker, junk shop owner, hostess, caterer, etc.) it would surprise me if she HADN'T taken up taxidermy at some point!

Well, I wouldn't say he "majorly ticked her off". She didn't scream or threaten him or tell him to "KISS OFF!" To me she's first aghast, and then very disappointed, and civilly ends any chance of a reconciliation. (then again, I think you were setting up the tone for humor for your theory---so, in that case, sorry! )
