I just finished watching it and really liked it!! The beginning of Mrs. G with the girls! I never saw this one before but the ending?? Was there more? She didn't accept the job when it was finished!
![]() ![]() Blair SMOKING??!! And in those short shorts!! OMG she was closer to JO than Blair?! I actually liked that hard edge about her. It's a shame they chiseled it down later on. Tootie was freaking ADORABLE!! She was so young and cute here! I can see I am NOT going to like Molly. She talks so damn fast and just keeps going. It seemed the other girls were a little annoyed with her too. ![]() I liked Nancy and Sue Ann. Hated Mr. Crocker and glad they dropped him for Mr. Bradley for the series. Glad I finally saw this and it was worth the 5 bucks for the DS dvd. I can see why it's valentina's favorite.

Sue Ann is quite different in the series going from airhead to smart, Kansas living, southern values girl and Molly's fast talking is quickly dropped, except for her main plot episode strangely

![]() What?? I never got that! ![]() Yup, very likable here. But don't get too attached to Airhead Sue Ann, because that's the last you'll see of her! (as an airhead, I mean, lol) But what did you think of Jennifer and Laura?? ![]() Quote:

![]() haha ![]() And I think they have Molly fast-talk at least one other time. I seem to remember there were 3 distinctive times. But that's why I didn't like the Reelz documentary calling her the fast-talking one, because her activism/feminism was featured much more than her fast-talking. |

Who the hell are Jennifer and Laura?! The Lost LOST girls?!
I don't think I can put up with the whole season of DS. Gary Coleman just grates on my nerves. I'd have to FF to all the Mrs. G scenes just to get through it! I didn't find Sue Ann much of an airhead. She just seemed bubbly to me. I liked her just the way she was. Nancy though so far is my favorite, but I have to see the whole season 1 to do that Lost Girl poll. |

![]() Okay, see, I get that he's awful for Mrs. Garrett and the girls. We don't want them to have to deal with him. But he's funny as a deranged headmaster! ![]() This pic is from what I think is his most hilarious moment in the episode, when he VERY over-the-top-ily (lol) coaches a distraught, distracted Nancy on what he wants from her acting, as if she's in any sort of position to concentrate on all of this specific direction: "Concentrate on passionate youthful recklessness, followed by stubborn defiance, then top it off with a little bit of seething dismaaaaaaayyyy!" ![]() - |

![]() ![]() I just thought of something about Blair smoking. How funny would it have been if Mrs. G had shockingly asked Blair: Mrs. Garrett: "Where did you get cigarette's?!" Blair: "I got cigarettes!"

![]() Yes! Jennifer was the only other girl with lines (think of the staircase scene---the only one there ever where girls are talking while sitting on the stairs!). And Laura was the tomboy who had the frog Leon. She maybe had one line?? Quote:

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Jennifer and Laura were the "lost-est" of the Lost Girls: they never even made it past the pilot, and were "replaced" by Mindy Cohn as the wisecracking Natalie Green, and Julie Anne Haddock as tomboy Cindy Webster. Their roles weren't very memorable, and you really only notice them on repeat viewings. Jennifer has no personality and Laura's only attribute was "has a frog named Leon".

The timing and the visual was just perfect!Yeah, those 2 girls seemed like dead wood. In fact, they were "adequate" lol. (I think 80'sSitcoms will get that one quickly!) I wondered where Natalie was and I also knew there was another blond girl that seemed to be missing...that was Cindy. So I didn't see all the Lost Girls in this one. |

Julie Anne had auditioned for the pilot, but didn't get added at that point. During the summer hiatus, they brought her back in and decided they wanted her. The minute they signed her, she started work that very day, so she must have been the last girl added. |

FINALLY!!! Well, i'm very glad we agree on that one: BLAIR was definitely the best as the 'hard edge smoker' and obviously the rebellious of the whole lot! I still think it's a shame they changed her image later on (although i was happy to see her acting reckless and rebellious in season 1). In my opinion she should have interacted more with MRS G as the 'spoiled rude one' being told of by the 'authoritative feisty red haired' hee hee! (that would have made a great episode for a two part lol!) ![]() NANCY was my next favourite of the girls on the pilot: she was caring and enthusiastic, and it's really a shame they dropped her act on FOL, having her hanging around a phone waiting for an 'invisible' boyfriend, instead of the talented actress she already was for the play 'The midsummer night'! ![]() I found MOLLY quite funny and pleasant in the pilot episode (especially when she asked MRS G for a candy ha ha ha!) and i can see why they decided to have her on FOL (for at least the first season). ![]() SUE ANN was hilarious and just as funny and bubbly as she is on FOL! (except maybe a little clumsy). ![]() Little TOOTIE was just adorable and such a kid! ![]() KIMBERLY's lines when she introduces BLAIR to MRS G are unforgettable: "Oh yes, i almost forgot, that's BLAIR!" And BLAIR reaction even better: she totally ignores MRS G, and just because she's a housekeeper ! (What a little devil she was ha ha!) ![]() MRS G herself was fantastic of course: her facial expression, and the way she glares at BLAIR disapprovingly when she catches her smoking is a classic wow! "If you keep smoking like that your obituary is gonna nail you!" ![]() Oh, i almost forgot 'THE CROCK': i quite liked his character as the eccentric and nervous headmaster, but if MRS G approve of him, then there is nothing we can do! (the feisty red haired lady rules the world!) ![]() on another note cfr1970: if you liked the episode 'The girls school', i wrote a story on the Fanfiction DS siteif you're interested and wanna read it? (i'v posted two chapters already)

Is the fanfiction about the girls school pilot or season 1 in general? I should watch season 1 first to get to know all the characters to make the fan fiction make sense to me. I can see why they chiseled things down to 4 girls for season 2---there's just SO many girls in Girls School, it's hard to keep track of them!! Only Leon the frog stands out! ![]() Am I the only one who didn't care for Mr. Crocker? I saw you guys mentioning him and was always thinking "Who the hell is that guy?! I never saw him on FOL." Now I finally know who he is!!
