Default "With a Little Help from My Friends" AKA "The Afterschool Special"

What a CRINGY episode! Yikes....I felt like I fell into an Afterschool Special and couldn't get out!!

And that coke head Nick....did producers just pick him up off Hollywood Blvd and toss him into the studio with a script?! The poor guy couldn't act his way out of a paper bag. OMG he was so wooden and terrible.

And where the hell was he for the 3 months that he was supposedly dating Blair?! LOL! He just appeared out of thin air and they're in a 3 month relationship already. What?!

Ugh...terrible episode and so cringy! They should've aired this at 4pm after school was out. I almost expected Mrs. G to crack an egg and say "This is your brain on drugs!"

I know it was the 80's and that old hag Nancy Reagan was everywhere telling us all to "Just Say NO!"....But please....I just say NO to this horrible episode!!

No, I'm pretty sure he's the same guy who seasons earlier played "Leo" the mentally challenged delivery boy that Blair tried to mentor. If it's the guy who I'm thinking of, he also played a few roles on the show "Alice." I remember in one episode he was Tommy's friend from college who was a bad influence on Tommy. They got arrested for starting a food fight at a restaurant. So if it's that guy, he is not some unknown who was picked up on Hollywood Blvd.

That wan't being political...she was an old hag the same way Beverly Ann was. It has absolutely zero to do with any politics. I probably should've taken into account it could've been interpreted that way.

But really....I was just calling her an old hag as I would ANY old bat I didn't like regardless of politics.

Yep: that guy was definitely LEO from the episode on season 4 'Different drummer'.

I think Mrs. G knew what was going on but decided to let Blair handle it on her own like she said she'd do in "Working it Out". She walked in a couple of times and had that knowing look on her face, especially when she looked at coke head Nick. She knew at that point Blair could handle it herself.

Only thing I didn't like was when Blair STILL wanted to go out on their date together even after learning he was a coke head. That's not the Blair I know...I don't think she would've still went on that date with him after learning he was a drug addict. She isn't the co-dependent type at all.

Huh? I thought that was the point, that once she saw evidence he was indeed a druggie, she ditched him?

Only after he insisted on waiting for his dealer at the store. Before that, and after she found out about his addiction, Blair still asked him to go with her on their date.
