Heart SISTERS

Another episode that i almost forgot i quite enjoyed in the season 6 is:
'SISTERS'!
I love the fact that you see a new perception on BLAIR and JO's relationship as siblings ha ha!

It also make their bond stronger and the ending is sweet! (although i would have really loved it had they really become 'sisters'!)

And i'm not saying anymore cos i don't wanna spoil the episode for cfr1970! (in case you haven't watched it yet)

That one airs on Friday. I just peeked at the episode guide and it says "A budding romance develops between Blair's mother and Jo's father."

I don't remember this one and can't wait to see it. That looks like a lot of fun. And the 2 part "Gone With the Wind" airs Thursday for a full hour! Yay!..I'm glad they didn't break it up that one part airs Thursday and the other Friday.

That was AGONY as a kid watching this show's cafeteria years in daily syndication: I had to wait a WHOLE DAY to find out what happened in a continued episode!

Yep! As you once said, the worst three words to a kid watching a TV show:

TO BE CONTINUED...

What was even worse is when the new episodes would air, with the first of a two-part episode airing one week, and the second episode not airing until the following wee-- oh no! Pre-empted by a basketball game!

WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT, NETWORK!? WHY?!

Try being a kid watching it in the evening when those 3 words meant you had to wait a whole WEEK to see the conclusion. THAT my friend was true AGONY!!

Ha! I just said the same thing before seeing your post. I swear that was pure torture for a kid. Many 70's shows pulled that "to be continued" crap and waiting a week to a kid is a freaking lifetime!!

You 80's kids had it easy getting all that in daily syndication while we had to suffer!!

Maybe so cfr, but we were also fans of "Friends" in the '90s and had to wait THREE MONTHS for cliffhangers to resolve!!

Yes I remember those! But being an 80's teen I was already used to that from watching Dynasty! Those summer cliffhangers were terrible...especially the Moldavian Massacre! That was one very long summer for many of us.

So by the time Friends rolled around, we were used to it.

Kids these days have no idea what a real cliffhanger feels like. Not with networks always airing 2 eps of shows a day, or with their streaming devices online. Nope we had real TV struggles. You think we could rewind a tv show in the old days? No sir! Kids have it so easy!

And you just reminded me of THE '80s cliffhanger EVERYONE in the '80s heard about all over the decade: Who Shot J.R.??

Holy cow! Even Lorsie's soundin' like an oldster now!

Sometimes I wonder how folks in the '40s, '50s, and '60s did it, before VCRs were on the horizon, before cable was here...if you had a movie you loved, you just had to go by sheer memory!
