Yes, definitely seems like almost all episodes do!

The producers must've done that because it's scenic and comforting. And the music was just FANTASTIC! Gilligan's Island has the best music in episode of ANY show in TV history PERIOD!

Apparently, the "lagoon" was right next to an LA freeway. Scenes filmed there had to be done when traffic was light, otherwise the noise would have been picked up when filming.

The first season Island Shot is Sandy Cay in the Bahamas

The island picture in the initial opening in the 2nd and 3rd season is located in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii.
