I cannot for the life of me remember his name. He was a young business man who vanished. A man says he saw him in a truck stop and knew he wasn't homeless because of his expensive shoes. What the heck was his name? Any updates?

benoitbabe, who is that person in your Avatar? I'm getting a bit of a Mama Cass vibe there.

His name was John Cheek. He was missing from Memphis, where I live. At the time, almost everyone believed that it really was him the trucker saw. But now, the general consensus is that since he has gone this long without contact, he's most likely deceased.

The John Cheek case has always bummed me out. He looked like such a nice man who was on the cusp of amazing success. I used to think he ran away, but as I've gotten older, I now believe he likely committed suicide...

From what I recall about this case, he was under a lot of pressure and he hadn't slept in several days. Maybe the pressure was too much for him. So sad.
