Default Jealousy on the set?

Last week, I saw a video on YouTube where Charlotte suggested that there was jealousy on the set, but said she wouldn't go into detail. This was right after an interview where Lisa said there was no competition among the girls and that they were always friends. Charlotte seemed to shoot down Lisa's scenarios of rainbows and unicorns on the Facts of Life. Since she never reviewed what she was referring to, she took her secrets to the grave.

I tried finding the video that I saw this in, but currently can't seem to find it.

Well good friends - especially female ones in their teens, will always have bouts of jealousy. As adults, I assume they brush all those green-eyed episodes off as part of growing up. Me and my schoolfriends probably had jealousy and the odd fights, but now at age 40 plus, who cares!

The only interviews where I know they discussed jealousy on the set were:

Felice discussing her newly-diminished role, where her parts were so small in comparison with the rest of the cast, and going to Al Burton.

Pamela discussing her lines getting cut, after re-writes. She specifically mentioned red-lining.

John talking about being worried if he only had a few lines, or was sent to Club Med partway through the episode.

The "turf war" between Charlotte and Jenny.

The awkwardness a fan asked to the Core Four about the Lost Girls, and what it was like having them back on set.

Lisa is the only one who has said there was no counting of lines, but notably, she always had plenty of lines.

I like that Charlotte Rae didn't go into detail most likely out of respect for her co workers. So what if there was jealousy. It's only natural with a bunch of adolescent girls thrown to work together. I think it would be odd if there weren't any jealousy among them at some point over the years.

Again, i'm glad to learn Charlotte Rae didn't go into detail about it. If anyone on the set wants to share their own feelings of jealousy, they're free to do so themselves. Rae just went up a bunch of points in my eyes (not that she wasn't up there already!)

I personally would have loved to meet CHARLOTTE RAE and be part of the FOL girls, but of course that would have been impossible: first of all i am not American, and second i was too young at the time lol! (shame though, cos i could have used a MRS G in my life)

Didn't stop Pippa from becoming a FOL girl!

...albeit not a fan favorite.

As for the awkwardness, I got the feeling they just couldn’t remember.

That's certainly possible.
