In 1990 Cover Girl launched it's successful fragrance Navy that seemed to be it's first foray into perfumes. To help market Navy a commercial was featured and when the commercial begins we see a woman looking out of a balcony while a shot of the Navy perfume bottle is featured. Throughout the commercial the same woman is seen showing off the wonderful smell Navy has while set to conga drumming jazz music then the commercial ends with the woman driving away in a car. There was also a second version of the commercial that is identical to the first commercial but features a ballad version of the jazz music from the previous Navy fragrance commercial. Navy might be still made today but Cover Girl really had a smart idea to go into the perfume market and with Navy it sure proved them right
