Depends on what type of guy he is.If he's "your typical guy" he'd want you to say "Wanna see me umm naked? boop-boop-pee-doop" in a Marilyn Monroe voice...That really turns a guy on.

Then of course there's the rare "Tom Hanks" as I like to call a kind, gentle woman of a guy. That kind of guy would just want to stare at your face so just make the cutest smile you can if he's that sort of guy.

Amanda doesn't listen to you anway, so why waste your breath. PLus that's not the typical guy. For example I like a girl who's interested in the things I'm interested. Like I love bowling and I love coffee. Those two things together make a great date. To me anyway. But basically as long as you have good chemistry and find something to laugh about, you should be fine.

Let me tell you, as a shy guy, I really like it if a girl comes to me.
Most of the time, men are expected say hello first, strike up a conversation, etc., so it is great if a girl makes first contact.

If that fails, ask him if he'd like to see you naked..

Just be yourself. It is very flattering to a guy if a girl makes the first sometimes...

The best advice I can give is to copy+paste TJL's advice, because that echos my advice near exactly

Just go'n strike up a converstation with him. Find out what he's interested in and get him talking about his hobbies etc. Try'n see if you have any interests in common and focus on that.
Basically just be friendly. And if you can, talk to him when the two of you are alone. If a group of his friends or your friends are hanging around then he'll probably feel kinda self-concious and he might get freaked out.

You've talked to him before, right? Well, he probably figured out afterwards that you're interested in him. So by the next time he will have been thinking about how dense he was and be more receptive to you. One time, at the grocery store, a woman asked me all about avacodos. She even told me that she wanted to use them for making a dip to take to a party. At the time, I thought it was odd that she was asking me but I just gave her all the advice I could think of about avacodos. The minute I walked out of the store, though, I slapped myslef silly when I realized she was not only flirting with me she was even hoping I would go to a party with her. Some of us are Juuuust a little slow on the uptake. That guy will get your drift next time without you having to take Sitcomwriters (not all that bad) advice.

I pretty much agree with most of the advice given so far. I think many guys, especially shy ones, will be instantly interested in a girl who is willing to make the first move. Once you guys get to know each other better then you'll have a better idea of if you're a good match. But seriously, it might just be easiest to ask him out sometime....I highly doubt he will refuse. I was in the same situation back in high school....I really liked this shy guy, so I justed asked him out to a movie. He said yes. Nothing ever really came of it, but at least I gave it a go. No regrets there, and no wondering what may have been.

I do think though that the best advice offered so far is Mossopp's idea of talking to him alone....that's something I might not have thought of, but it is very good advice. And also Kitt's, about some guys being slow on the uptake, Don't give up if he doesn't seem receptive at first. He's probably confused!

My best advice I can give you is just be yourself and don't change your personality so he would notice you. If he likes something you like too, (example: Ozzy music) You could strike up a conversation just with that one little topic and lead to other topics. Don't change yourself though. If he likes Ozzy music, and you hate it- don't sell yourself short by lying and saying you like his music. The guy you like will find out in the end, and think you purposely lied to him. Don't turn into a Clueless wannabee either because you think he likes the ditzy head cheerleader. Guys like it more if you just be yourself and have your own way to life. I wish you the best of luck, and I hope my advice didn't sound too dorky.

I don't find it dorky at all, That is really, really good advice. I like people that are themselves and don't have to change there personallity and/or image.
