Default What was Lucy's natural hair color?

Does anyone know the natural color of Lucy's hair?

I saw her in an old Three Stooges movie, in which her hair was blond. That movie took place several years prior to I Love Lucy, so I am curious if her hair is really red, or if she is a natural blond.

She looks a little bit like a different person as a brunette.

Her original hair color was mousy brown. She changed it to blonde in her early years of television, and eventually to red. But she will always be remembered as a redhead due to her shows and her fame.

I seem to remember somewhere hearing that her natural hair color was Chestnut Brown... still brown, but that specific shade (shrug)

What a beautiful picture. Do you know when that was taken? I think she should have left her hair color that way. The shade of red she used looked so artificial. And back in the old days, it made adjusting the color on the TV set difficult. Her natural color, as seen here, was beautiful and I think it suited her really well.

Even in that picture, her hair looks like it has a bit of a red tint to it...it could be the lighting though. I like her as a redhead because it is so different from everyone else...and it just seemed to fit Lucy Ricardo's personality best. I couldn't imagine Lucy Ricardo as being anything but a redhead.

Dawsongirl, that is my favorite photo of her and I always did think she looked best with brown hair.
