Default The FOL girls and their Brady Bunch counter parts

Who would the FOL girls be the equivalent to their Brady Bunch counterparts.

Tootie: Would be Cindy since she likes to tattle.

Cindy: Even though she shares her blond hair, pig tails, and name as Cindy, Tootie already took her role, so I am assigning Cindy to Greg since they are both the jocks of the group.

Blair: Marsha. Who else is a better fit? Both have the attention the popular boys and girls from the school. Both are into fashion.

Nancy O.: Jan, Nancy has her own George Glass in Roger.

Molly: Bobby. They shared the same hairstylist and wardrobe.

Not sure to assign Peter with. And there will be one girl left out.

I can see the comparison.

I don't think I would have thought of that, but it makes sense.

This is a really good fit. I can totally see a Marcia/Blair connection.

...And both are being overshadowed by Marcia/Blair. So much so that they don't get into "The Group". (Although, admittedly, Brady Bunch TV series Jan was likely vastly more popular than Brady Bunch '90s Movies Jan).

I just need to know who to match up with Peter.

Hmmm... I don't think Peter has a FOL equivalent. Maybe... Geri?

I also can't think of a BB equivalent for Sue Ann, Natalie, or Jo.

Mrs. Garrett might be Alice: both were housekeepers (before Mrs. Garrett changed to a housemother), and both spent large amounts of time cleaning up the messes (both physical and metaphorical) of their charges.

Would that make Mr. Bradley and Miss Mahoney Mr. and Mrs. Brady? Mr. Bradley's name is almost the same!

Cindy doesn't have pig tails, she has braids. Don't let Sue Ann's mistake rub off on you.

(actually I think Sue Ann must know better, being a 15-year-old girl in 1979. I think she just said "pig tails" instead of "braids" to fit the insult she wanted to make. But it gives boys watching a mistaken identity of what pig tails are, lol).

Very true: Cindy Brady adopts braids after losing the curls... yet they kept "curls" line in the lyrics.

I also agree with '80s that Sue Ann very likely knows they aren't pig tails; she just uses it as a convenient way to slam Cindy.

Only because Cindy was just using Sue Ann to learn how to win the race!

Point of view?! Who could view anything around her? She's built like a school bus!

(Oh wait. That was Cindy's insult. Well, I'm posting anyway).
