Does Nancy hate FOL? She was apart of that show for 8 years. Did she hate doing it?

She's tired of being associated with her Jo character all the time. I remember hearing in (I think it was) Intimate Portrait that when she came to work on the set of the Division, fans were standing outside chanting, "Jo! Jo! Jo!" I don't know if she exactly hated doing FOL, she just wants people to think of her as Nancy McKeon instead of Jo Polniaczeck.

No, she doesn't hate FOL, she's just trying to move own with her life. She attributes much of her success today to the years she spent on FACTS. I've never heard her say anything bad about FOL, just that she needed to move on. She was really stereotyped as Jo Polniazcek, which is a shame considering she's such a great actress.

Didn't she offer to direct the reunion movie or was that a rumor?

Agreed. I don't see too many postings for "Division of Love" and "Style and Substance." People only see her as Jo on here (at least it seems that way). I understand that this is a message board about FOL, so it should be that way, but yet there is often not a lot of respect for her other work.

Just my two cents... I'm ready for my bashing...

Honestly I hate The Division. Sorry fans but Nancys character is horrible. She is an alcoholic! Who had to go to rehab. Is that how Nancy wants her fans to remember her? I want to remember Nancy as the sweet actress who is kind to people. And very pretty!

Like jayman says, just my two cents thats not worth anything!

Well, the character on TD is another way of McKeon developing herself. It shows her versatility as an actress (which is what I was trying to say earlier). I know she is respected for all her work, but it would be great if she was RECOGNIZED for it all. I doubt she ever hears "Tracy Thurman, Tracy Thurman!!!"

The only work she does great is in comedies and in movies and defenitly in that Tracy Thurman movie. If I saw her I might actually call her Tracy Thurman. She gave a great performance in that movie.

If I saw her, I would probably either call her Nancy (U know, cuz that's her NAME ) or Jinny, because thats how i see her. Jo was a long time ago and she's changed a WHOLE lot since then. Her character in TD shows that.

I think the character Jinny is a really good one for Nancy to be portraying. I mean- she can really bring some emotion to Jinny and thats why she is playing Jinny. Besides- I would feel weird if I was like 36 years old and people were chanting a name of a charcter I played 20 years ago instead of like my real name or the charcter that I am now. I can definalty see where NMK is coming from. The only movie that I have seen that wasnt really great was "In My Sisters Shawdow"(-I think it had a bad plot)but NMK was still great in it. But, her best things that she has done to me are, FOL, A Cry For Help, Strange Voices and The Divsion. I havent seen alot of her movies but these ones stand out in my mind. I bet Firefighter would be good too. and Wrong Woman(-havent seen those). But I still see her as Nancy.

I think I heard Nancy had fun on FOL but now she just wants to move on with her life and be Nancy instead of Jo. In the Lifetime chat she said she didn't like her puberty years, but I don't think that meant she didn't like being young on the show.

Yes, but I won't remember Nancy as an alcoholic, just as a great actress who did a heck of a job portraying an alcoholic. She's a great actress with many differents aspects---IMO.

Like jayman said, just my two measly cents
