Frank Ferguson who played Mr. Jeff got a job in Mayberry working as a butcher. He came back to see Wally to borrow the coat he used to park cars.

How did Mr. Jeff know Beaver’s dad’s name was Cleaver. I didn’t see it on the mailbox like in the other house. Beaver never even mentioned his name. He wrote the note to Mr. Cleaver.

Ward had a Haines directory in the den and Jeff looked up the address to get the name?

At the Cleaver house everybody knows your name, if you're Beaver in 1962. The postman, Mooney, knows Beaver's name. The cleaning man, I think, when Beaver didn't want to pay the bill for June, also knew Beaver's name.

This is one of the few times, or maybe the only time, Gilbert told Beaver the right thing: that he was headed for trouble if he let Jeff in.

I thought of that very point. It is “the” only time that Gilbert gave him good advice for a change. He told Beaver not to take the Mickey Mantel ashtray and to not sell the 14 caret gold locket to Eddie. It did eventually get Beaver in trouble when he said to give it to Donna.

I felt bad for June the way Beaver finally gave her the locket and then walked away. June however did get him in trouble by snooping and running down to Ward with the golden bauble.

They always cut out the scene when Gilbert runs away. They both go upstairs when they hear the water in the tub and Gilbert isn’t to be found.

LOL. When June found that locket, I tried to yell "Ward!!!" on cue when she did.

Gilbert is such a slime. When he was staying over and he and Beaver called the cops, and Ward and June came in the bedroom asking about it, he lied at the same time Beaver came clean.

Just saw Gilbert’s old man, Lyle Talbot on Dennis the Menace. It’s a positively dreadful episode after losing Joseph Kearns as Mr. Wilson. It showed how there was no replacing the actor either with Uncle Ned or Mr. Quigley. Kearns was fabulous that’s why I liked the show as a child.

Yep, that episode where Quigley coaches the team--of course that was rewritten and the coaching was originally supposed to be done by Wilson. Talbot played the nasty mayor.

I'm in the minority in thinking Gale Gordon did a great job as the new Wilson. Problem was, all those kids were getting too old.

Hard to believe both Billy Booth and the kid who played Seymour are both gone.
