They recycled a lot of actors for different roles

Jenifer Lewis played Professor Clayton in one season and Dean Davenport in another season.

This lady (Troy Beyer) played a girl Dwayne hooked up with during homecoming then played Whitley’s stepmother, Monica.

Robert Guillaume played Dean Winston, who wouldn’t let Ron graduate. Then in Season 6 he was Kim’s medical professor, Professor Murphy.

This lady (Josephine Premice) was Ms. Abernathy, Whitley’s boss in Season 5, then in Season 6 she was Dwayne and Whitley’s landlord. A few episodes later she was the French professor of Charmaine, Gina and Terrell when Charmaine and Terrell were cheating.

This guy (Edafe Blackmon) was Gina’s abusive boyfriend, Deion, in Season 5. Then in Season 6 he played a French tutor (in the same episode that they recycled Ms Abernathy/the landlord). He was Deion again later in the season.

Dominic Hoffman played Kent Suje in Season 2 and then came back later and started playing Julian in Season 3.

And this guy (Michael Ralph) played the fire marshal, a random guy at Whitley’s office, a member of Ron’s band, and finally a wig wearing Jamaican who was Kim’s lab partner turned boyfriend/fiancé. He also played Jalissa's date in the episode "Love Thy Neighbor".
