Default How would you rank Lucille Ball's sitcoms?

I Love Lucy is the clear #1. The whole cast was amazing and the chemistry was fantastic. Definitely a Classic

Here's Lucy is much better than The Lucy Show imo. Gale Gordon is as funny as ever and Lucille's kids made the show great.

The Lucy show was great before Vivian Vance left in the 3rd season. The show still had its moments but it could never recover fully from Vance's departure.

I agree I Love Lucy was the best , but I think The Lucy Show was second, and that Here's Lucy was third best ! Close decision though on my part cause Here's Lucy had the cute Desi Jr. ! But I think The Lucy show was funnier and I liked Gale Gordon better as Mr. Mooney than as Harry Carter !

The Lucy Show is second, because at least it has a few good seasons. Here’s Lucy is simply awful, with the bad performances from Lucy’s kids, the endless parade of past-their-prime guest stars, and the lame musical numbers.

"I Love Lucy" remains timeless.

"The Lucy Show" is bearable for the first three Vivian Vance seasons. After that, it's only about the theme music. I feel sorry for Candy Moore - she's so good on "Donna Reed," but her walk-ons here seem to have prematurely killed her career.

"Here's Lucy": Love the puppet and Desi Jr.

"Life With Lucy" I try not to think about it.

I'm glad that you at least mentioned it. It seems like it always gets left out of these types of threads for some reason.

I've never seen what all the fuss is about regarding I Love Lucy, some episodes are OK but overall the series has never really appealed much to me. I prefer Lucy's later sitcoms a little more. Having said that, here's how I rate them:

1. The Lucy Show

2. Here's Lucy

3. I Love Lucy

I won't include Life With Lucy because I think that series was so poor and it shouldn't have even been made.

1. ILL - classic. Don't like most of the first season, but there are a few memorable episodes toward the end of the season.

2. The Lucy Show - the first three seasons are great. The first season has the really memorable episodes--the rooftop antenna, the shower (which in real life could almost have been titled "We Lost Lucy"). The move and Vance leaving, and the decision to have a parade of guest stars, were mistakes, IMO. I don't think Lucy and Gale Gordon carried the show well.

I don't know anything about Here's Lucy to rate it. I made the mistake of buying the Life with Lucy DVD, and have only been able to suffer through 2 or 3 episodes.
