Default Step by Step: The Complete Sixth Season DVD (Feb. 11)

It's just been announced on the Tvshowsondvd Facebook page that season 6 of Step by Step will come to DVD February 11! This is the second to last season and the first one without Cody. It's also the only season with Bronson Pinchot as Jean-Luc, the last season to feature Brendon, and the final season on ABC (the last season aired on CBS).

It's also worthy of note, the last episode of this season should actually be its first. It's the one where Jean-Luc joins the series. Why ABC aired it at the end of the season, I don't know.

Earlier today I finished watching my copy of this season. My big question is why wasn't the first episode shown until the very end of the season. What should've been the first episode ended being placed at the end of the DVD and according to the TV.com website, it was also the last episode shown of the season. It is when Bronson Pinchot is first introduced as the Jean Luc character.

God bless you and him always!!!

Holly

P.S. To me, Bronson is just what the show needed.

For season 6 I see this season has the same issue as early seasons where we get a 4:3 image framed with black bars either side in a 16:9 presentation.

I do agree; I just find the presentation strange. I also find it odd that the lettering on all the episodes has been done again from scratch. Perhaps they went backto the original negatives and put the show back together again in HD? My view is that this show was recorded on film but like a lot of 90s shows it was then edited on video tape.

Made a start on season 6 with the first episode that was aired last as in the one that introduced Bronson Pinchot. Have to say, I quite enjoyed it and found his character more believeable than Cody or Flash.

Seems odd having no theme song.

I have now made a proper start on season 6 and I am watching it in production order as per the wiki guide. Question, what is going on with Danas lip? Looks like she was stung by a bee or had a bad botox injection.

Strangly, Sex, Lies and Videotape which was the 3rd episode aired has a production code of 465354 yet it features scenes in some salon that Carol and Jean-Luc seem to own which has it's grand opening in Shear Madness which has a production number of 465355 and was the 22nd episode aired this season. Someone really shuffled up the episodes this season for some odd reason.

^^^ My question is why was such a thing done? You can tell how out of sequence the episodes are just by how Bronson's (Jean-Luc) hair is.

God bless you and him always!!!

Holly

P.S. What hits my nerves the hardest is when we go into season seven, its like his character never once existed in the first place.

I think the show was held back so they possibly had all the episodes filmed. It is strange that the first episode aired last. Makes little sense. And strange that Carol has a hair salon at the back of the kitchen which doesn't seem to be referenced anymore.

I am towards the end of season 6.

Not sure I will miss Jean-Luc. The character is a little too OTT for me kinda like the way Cody was. Saying his name over and over like a catchphrase. A shame because the actor is good and there was the episode where we/he met his daughter and it was a lovely scene.

I have just watched the episode with Karen getting botox in her lips which had a very funny scene where she walked in the kitchen and the rest of the cast really looked liked they were trying to hold back real laughter. How Angela Watson never looked like she would corpse is amazing.

^^^ I love that episode when Jean Luc gets to see his daughter again. I love watching Bronson's interactions with the younger cast members all through the season.

God bless you and him and his former cast family always!!!
