I have been wondering about this for years. It has never been broadcast as a standalone series in syndication or broadcast without the Saved By The Bell intro. The Saved By The Bell intro includes more elements of Saved By The Bell as a series than Good Morning Miss Bliss. I am specifically referring to how the intro references California and has an image of The Max. These are a few things that were not part of Good Morning Miss Bliss.
I was hoping they would be released as they originally aired on the Shout Factory release but that was not the case. They were presented as they aired on TBS years ago. This begs the question of whether or not the show's original episodes exist in their orignal format. If so, why not release them somehow for fans/purists to enjoy? I remember years back when Mama's Family was originally released. They were the edited syndication copies. When Time Life got ahold of the series they released seasons 1 and 2 as they originally aired. A few were still syndicated versions but nevertheless we got the original Korman intros along with the original house used in those seasons as the majority. Also Antenna TV started airing The Hogan Family uncut with the first two seasons being broadcast as Valerie. The Valerie's Family episodes are still titled The Hogan Family but that isn't too big of a deal though. With all that being said, I wonder if the original Miss Bliss episodes exist and if they will ever appear in some shape or fashion. |

The original intro with the theme song "The Best of Times" (if you haven't heard the song, it kind of sounds like "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" by Starship) is pretty easy to find on YouTube. As far as I know, the rest of the show as it originally aired on Disney Channel back in 1988-89 (such as the original credits and what not) are no wear to be properly found, at least online.

Episodes with the original Good Morning Miss Bliss theme song and the original Good Morning Miss Bliss credits were on Dailymotion a few years ago but they have since been taken down. They didn't contain any network logo (not sure if Disney did at the time or not) but they also were not very long. Most if not all of them were right around 22 minutes long.
Can't say for sure whether they were truly original airings... |
