I'm trying to think of a particular case, I'm almost certain that it took place in Texas, the main person in the story was an African American woman who said that her grandson had gone missing but it turned out she purposely set her apartment on fire with her grandson in it. Does anyone remember this one? Can't seem to find it on the Wiki.

Neither of those sound right, unfortunately.

This sounds like Ora Prince. She was featured in an FBI roll call in 1994. She was captured and is actually up for parole again this year.

That is really sad. How could she live with herself after doing that?
