I think Me-TV using Saved by the Bell to use up their mandated by FCC E/I (educational and informative) quota is rather brilliant (if not the show).
Rather than use all those generic E/I programs that bore us on classic channels, surely there must be more classic TV shows that fits the requirements... Shazam! and Isis for example -- they not only had psych consultants, but gave the morals straight out. Or how about Pee Wee's Playhouse? Thoughts? |

With Saved by the Bell somehow qualifying as E/I, other scripted shows like Head of the Class, Fame, and The Facts of Life in school settings should also be able to get E/I designation.

Room 222, Mr. Novak (this one is an hour though, and it's very old and in black and white.)
I think SBTB is a stretch for E/I, but it was aimed at teens and sometimes touched on serious issues. |

I don't see why they must even be on those stations.
I'm sure then can fit them in elsewhere. |

Didn't they phase out E/I being mandatory a few years ago.

I hope so. If so, I don't know why anyone runs those generic educational shows. ZZZZZ.
