Default OMG! New Channel "Circle" Debuted 1/1/20

With the New Year sometimes new channels pop up or debut, in the nyc area, WRNN-2 Diginet went from caring a horrible sports channel called "Stadium" to what is the most perplexing mixed bag 1/1/20 8AM Launch called "Circle"

It is a country themed channel, but literally here is the entire initial program schedule......

Simulcast of a radio show called "Coffee, Country & Cody"
Soundstage episodes from 2000 on
F-Troop
Hee Haw (started uncut from June 1969 CBS Episodes)
The Dailey & Vincent Show
A few recent Opry Series
The Jeff Foxworthy Show
A few Country cooking shows

That's it! Now being a sitcom fan, was first excited to see at least F-Troop & Foxworhty on the schedule, original Hee Haws I just watch in pure shock, CBS cancelled The Smothers Brothers and premiered HH!, LOL....it is certainly a novelty watch!

But c'mon where is The Real McCoys, Mayberry RFD, Petticoat Junction, etc. Obviously we could all name at least 20 rural centered sitcoms. Im not expecting too many but only having F-Troop & Foxworthy is a very odd combination.

I'm not seeing F-Troop, The Jeff Foxworthy Show, and Soundstage on their website.

It popped up on my cable system, replacing the aforementioned Stadium.

I'll normally watch any sports channel that exists, but yeah, I never watched Stadium (was aware of it though)

The rights for the Paul Henning trilogy (Beverly Hillbillies, Petticoat Junction and Green Acres) are held by Weigel. The Hillbillies and Green Acres are on Me-TV while Petticoat airs daily on Decades. I believe Mayberry RFD is also a Weigel show as it has run on Me-TV in the past in markets were a local station has the rights for The Andy Griffith Show and Mayberry was offered as a replacement.

I understand all about exclusive rights and i thank you for all replies, i know farmers daughter was scheduled for Antenna when it launched but then their were rumored to have quality issues.

I just think if a channel is going to touch upon sitcoms, it should have more than two! And personally i never thought of F-Troop as being country.

There are so many lost forever in the vaults sitcoms and im sure with some country theme.....even new dick van dyke, doris day (even tho more country in season 1) Dobie Gillis, Loretta Young, I know these are stretching it a bit, i guess feel good TV.

I mean where are Please don't eat the daises, Karen Valentine Show, Nanny & The Professor, Ghost & Mrs. Muir, Mary Hartman, Fernwood 2-Night, countless others, no not all country and yes some featured on GetTV but not in their entirety. I remember FX when they first signed on with Jeff Proust in the loft playing Nanny!

My main reason for the thread was to inform and was amazed that a channel could launch with so little.

Curious Green Acres appears currently on MeTV and FeTV, FeTV has no affiliation with Weigel, So why couldn't GA air on Circle? or the other Filmways shows.

More program suggestions for diginet Circle:

Apple's Way CBS
Tammy ABC
BJ And The Bear

And yes Fernwood Tonight or even Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman since they took place in rural Fictional Fernwood, Ohio

I have no use for Circle no more because they removed The Beverly Hillbillies and F Troop for Bonanza and some country show. I guess that’s a good thing though because they were starting to air the episodes completely out of order out of the blue and hog up the shows with commercials in the middle of a scene.

I lost MeTV in June of 2018. I remember that upsetting and disappointing day. I woke up for work, turned the channel to 185 (MeTV) to watch Matlock and a blue screen was shown on the TV that said something about MeTV not being available anymore. And then I found out later that day when I came home from work that MeTV was removed from my cable. I don’t know what the other channel is though.
