June says in Beaver and Kenneth that the worst thing she ever did to get attention was to tell her friends at boarding school her uncle was John Boles. She wrote letters and signed them Uncle John. I thought the worst was telling everyone her mother was a famous movie star and her name was Laverne Laverne. She had to get up in front of everyone and say she lied.

Right. And MeTV left in that scene the other day when Ward discovered someone (June) had used the phonograph. And they got to cutting each other up over old beaus.

There's a funny similarity between Beaver and June: both of them told their class that their mothers were famous/perfomers.
