What character in Friends do you think has changed the most?

Hmm.
I think it has to be a toss up between Joey and Monica.

Joey seems to have gotten quite dumb compared to his early days of being a kind of streetwise kid from Brooklyn we saw in the pilot.

Monica has gone from being the "sensible" mother figure stuck in the middle of flaky Phoebee and neurotic Rachael to a real high strung mess. Sometimes I wonder how Chandler can put up with her obsessive behavior...

I think Rachel changes the most.
I've just seen season 1 again and there she was that princess type of girl whatever or whoever she wants, she gets!
Now she is a woman who knows what she wants. I like her better that way!

To me Ross and Chandler have changed the most. Ross has gotten more self-centered and annoying, while Chandler has mellowed out a lot. It's to be expected that the characters would change because the ACTORS are all 8 years older.

I agree.Joey used to be very Vinny Barberino-esque and now he's Horseshack.

Anyway Monica has become a lot less of a neat freak since the early days.
