Ya'll might remember me writing on here about doing up some t-shirt transfers of Freddie/CATM & having them put on a t-shirt & I'd had this done at the beach in Nags Head, NC at a t-shirt place there.
I had made up a t-shirt transfer of the REEL SOUL Magazine cover with Freddie on it, having taken a scan of it & removed all the writing off it except the words REEL SOUL. I bought some t-shirt transfers at an office supply store & used them to make up one of the REEL SOUL Magazine cover with Freddie on it. Sadly, it would not print onto the shirt. So I couldn't put it on the shirt. Fortunately I had one t-shirt transfer of the kind I had bought at WALMART left so I used it to re-do the transfer. I finally found a t-shirt place around here that could put t-shirt transfers I'd made up onto a t-shirt for me like the place in Nags Head does & for only $1. So I had the the REEL SOUL Magazine cover with Freddie on it put on a t-shirt.Looks nice but... I noticed it has started peeling a little. A teeny bit on one side, a little bit on another part of one side & a little bit at the bottom where part of his neck shows. So I wondered if anyone knows how I can keep it from peeling any further? It looks decent enough I can probably wear it out okay for now but I am afraid it may peel further & esp after washing it. My other shirts of Freddie turned out great. I wonder if maybe the reason ti is peeling is cuz the shirt I put it on was the one that I had tried to put a transfer I had made up of the REEL SOUL Magazine cover with Freddie on it on it in Nags Head & ti didn't stick. I wonder if that could've left some residue & maybe that's why this one is peeling. If worse comes to worse maybe I can get some t-shirt transfers at K-Mart & re-do another transfer of it & buy another shirt like it to put it on. & then use this one for bumming around the house with. If anyone knows how to keep it from peeling furthur, thanks! Here is a scan of the the REEL SOUL Magazine cover with Freddie on it t-shirt transfer... (If you want to print these Freddie t-shirt transfers out on a t-shirt transfer, some t-shirt transfer instructions to say to flip it around backwards. If your instructions say to do that then you'll have to flip it around in your photo editing program before printing it on the transfer)... |

I did this shirt on one of those feminie looking t-shirts with the rounded neck instead of one of those unisex looking ones. It makes for a much cuter shirt.

And last but not least is this one...
I didn't have to do anything extra to this one. Just printed the magazine pic onto a t-shirt transfer... |

Cheryl,
I'm sorry to say that I know absolutely nothing about transfers I just had to tell you I love those pics and the idea of putting Freddie on a t-shirt kick starts my engine!!!! |

Cheryl--Hi I'm new to this site and I'm enjoying it! I have a suggestion that may help. You could use fabric paint around the edges of the transfer. If it was thick enough, maybe it would hold the transfer on. I've had painted shirts that have lasted a long time. I don't know if it would be strong enough to hold the picture on the shirt, but it might.
I love all the pictures everyone posts! I have an article with pictures that I'd like to post but I don't know how to scan it right. It never looks quite right. I'll keep working on it though. Good luck! Kathy |

Thanks for the info ya'll! Since there are no t-shirts out of him I had to get creative & make some of my own. Feel free folks to print these designs out on t-shirt transfers & make your own shirts...
